Q: Can it be used to lock a refrigerator through the handles? this means that when locked, the cable should not be able to extend?

The cable length can be adjusted regardless of the lock being set. So if you put the cable through the handles, you push the side button to retract the cable to tighten. Release the button and it locks. Press the button again and you can adjust to lengthen it back again.

Q: Second time using the lock, and it fails to open with my combination. I don’t really want to cut it, but may need to… Is there any other way?
