Just received 4/4/2025 and opened this morning. Packaging and shipping were fine. Like most of the reviews, it came half charged. I plugged it into one of my Kobalt chargers, and the green light is flashing.I went with this seller because they appeared to be the most transparent, and the reviews seemed better. Also, I don’t like getting burned on expensive purchases if something like this suddenly stopped working…Their customer service/replacement policy looked better than others selling the same battery.I’ll circle back after the summer if I can remember to do so. Obviously, if there are issues, then this review will be updated sooner.

Works as expected

These are never going to be good as a genuine original battery, but for the cost savings, it can be worth it, especially when the genuine are really expensive like is the case with Kobalt. So far I've had no issues with this 40v replacement. It works great on my very power hungry blower.

We use various electric tools in our day to day business and I have found this Aftermarket Kobalt battery to be an equal to the OEM. It charges like the OEM, its power output is like the OEM and only time will tell if it lasts as long as OEM. I will return in a year's time to answer that question.Meanwhile - Highly Recommended - We are ONLY buying these aftermarket batteries now.

Got this battery as a backup for my rechargeable lawnmower. Many times we haven't been able to finish mowing the lawn due to the battery running out of juice. This is a perfect addition. Charged up like it should, works well in the lawnmower. Comparably priced, good quality.

I charged this battery to full capacity upon arrival and put it on my workbench to use later. Well today, 12 days later, I placed the battery in my Kobalt 40V lawnmower and there was absolutely no power available. Removed battery and there were no lights on the indicator panel whatsoever. Not only that, but I also placed the battery on my 40V charger and no charge indicators lit up...it would not even attempt to charge. Just for the heck of it I placed another battery on charger to make sure the charger was working and, of course, it was working fine. Returning battery and will try another seller.
