Chameleon SRS8 Red Dot Sight with STIG-RS for RMR/SRO Footprints - 8 MOA Reflex Sight with Large Objective Lens & Motion Deactivated Standby(Similiar to Shake Awake)

I can’t believe it. I am actually in awe. I can see the dot perfectly with my astigmatism. I own a delta point pro, a holosun 407, a Trijicon SRO and multiple other dots. I always get the small dots for better accuracy and with every single one I get the classic starburst you see from astigmatism (if your ever unsure, take a picture of the dot with your phone and then you can see the true shape of the dot). With this cylee srs8 my jaw literally hit the floor when I powered it up for the first time. A perfectly clear, clean and crisp dot. My $600 Sro couldn’t even do that. So based on that alone I am giving the product 5 stars. Full disclosure, I have yet to test it in any way shape or form. That’s right, I was so impressed by the clarity of the dot that I left a five star review based on that alone. I plan on hitting the range tomorrow and will update if I find any negatives. Edit: I mounted it to my glock 19mos and ran 250 rounds through it. Held zero just fine. One thing I noticed is it doesn't have a dim setting that I like. As you hit the minus button and dim the dot, it goes from bright, to way too dim at the bottom of the scale. It dims in even increments til you get to the last few brightness settings and it take a huge jump from too bright to too dark. My SRO has atleast a few settings in between the cycles's too bright and too dim settings. Another potential negative I have heard about the srs8 is that they are very sensitive to drops. It doesn't take much to Crack the lens at all. So be careful. I have a jagerworks protective metal shroud made for an SRO that looks like it will fit perfectly. Still keeping the review at 5 stars even though I should probably take half a star to a star for the uneven brightness dimming. While it wont be replacing my SRO, for the price it's a great alternative and bonus it comes with tons of screws and info cards. I just wish it came with a rubber dust cover as well.

I was not expected how good this sight performs for the price, is a good fitting on a 2011 Style Pistol. Few trips to the range with no issue, holding zero with different types of ammo. Seems like good quality RDS for a range pistol, Window size and the clarity of the glass is impressive. The Red dot function as advertise. Dot does not disappear at the edges of the window have not experience any glare problems outdoor or indoors, similar window to a Trijicon SRO. Would it like that the SR8S will had a cover for when not in use.

I have an astigmatism, my dots look blurry and have a smear. I wanted this product to work for me, and had high hopes for the STG-RS. The dot looks a little bigger bc it's 8MOA but it definitely wasn't any crisper for my eyes. Back to the drawing board for me until the market inovates to adress astigmatism shooters. But I can't speak for your eyes, just my experience.

High quality for a good price. Keeps zero after a good 500 rnds

Happy but frustrated. I’ve put over 1000 rounds with this optic and was wanting to use this over an Trijicon for competitions but after using it for so long I have a number of frustrations. The dot sometimes walks off despite sitting in a case, needing an adjustment before and after every range run. Most notably there is a cutoff portion in the window where the red dot light does NOT hit the overall window aperture making it an overall SMALLER compared to the SRO which covers the entire window, this is meant to be a clone but a poor range toy version of it. Overall I will rely on it this as a range toy, there hasn’t been any issues outright with losing power or getting damaged despite racking the optic on my hand or various pieces of furniture, but this is not meant for anything serious outside a fun lil toy. A glorified airsoft red dot, I won’t recommend these for any EDC situation. However the cat is a little better but I’d rate that 4 stars.
