The kettle is a tall, black shiny plastic affair. Its easy to fill. Boils rapidly enough. Water pours quite quickly but you get used to that after the first time you pour past the sides of a cup. However, the water gauge is annoying. Not only is the gauge behind the handle so difficult to see but it also does not go far enough to the bottom so does not even register any volume less than about a pint - so you end up boiling too much for just a cup of your favourite brew. And that wastes lots of expensive energy.

Basically, a kettle is a kettle but this one, from a strictly stylish point of view, is rather superior. Water is boiled as other kettles but this one because of it's attractive design shows up other negative elements of one's kitchen !
