If the D2 Coilover tube diameter is less than 2.14" OR 54.36 MM then yes these will fit D2 Coilovers.

Will it fit a 1981 Datsun ZX?

Not 100% sure I would look at their website it shows the measurements but if it's going on stuck struts I would assume not fits mostly coil overs and some struts
