When I first ordered this paddle almost two months ago, it was priced at about $80 and today it is at $50. I just got around to trying this MTEN paddle today. I had already developed a negative view of it since it was hate at first sight.The technical page self-rates this paddle as being at the professional level, which it obviously isn't. The paddle weight listed on the website is between 7 1/2 ounces and 8 1/2 ounces. A one-ounce range on something this light raises a question of the manufacturing quality control. My main initial dislike was when I ran my fingers across the face and noticed the obvious ridges and friction differences between the painted surface and the base paddle, which is even more pronounced where the MTEN is applied over the painted design.Since my game is basically strong serve, spin and control I could not imagine how I could play with this paddle, but I needed to play a game with it to confirm and validate my initial negative opinion. My opinion of this paddle went from skepticism, to positive, to love in 3 games, two more than I had intended to play it - all wins.This paddle has the best handle grip, for me, of any of my current dozen-plus paddles. It is super comfortable and offers great shock cushioning and really sticks to the hand. It also has the raised ridges I prefer.The ball control is as good or better than any of my paddles and I was repeatedly hitting just inside the sideline shots without an out ball.  The spin is not up to my expectations, but it was not terrible, and the serves had enough top and side spin to come close to what my go to 6.0 Double Black Diamond produces.My only remaining concerns about this MTEN paddle is whether the painted surface will chip and whether whatever treatment was added to the painted surface to allow spin will be long-lasting.Overall, this is the best low-priced paddle I have tested. if you are just starting pickleball or are a beginner wanting an upgrade to a paddle that will take you into the intermediate level this is a solid low-cost investment.

Great lightweight paddle. Because it's so light it contributes to better cutting and spins.The ball pops off the paddle very strongly and it is a joy to use. definitely my pickle ball game has improved with this paddle.

This is a good all around paddle. It has a good grip with soft material. The surface of the paddle provides good grip on spin shots. The color and design are not too flashy. And the price point meets expectation. It is a good mid priced paddle that performs ok in all categories.

I play pickleball regularly and own several paddles ranging from budget to premium. This carbon fiber model is about half the price of what I paid for one from a name-brand company. While I still prefer my original one, this is a close second. The face is a bit thicker than name-brand, and the handle is also slighly thicker. I assume the thicker face would increase the control but sacrifice power, but I have not found that to be the case. In fact, my experience has been the opposite - a bit more power, but slightly less control. For most recreastional players, that difference may not even be noticeable, and for me it barely is.If I didn't already have the name-brand model, which I'm sure I have gotten used to and comfortable with, I would probably be perfectly fine using this one. I will definately keep this as a back-up, or paddle #2, and continue to use it on occasion, or even more frequently as I will eventually adjust to it's slightly different feel and performance. Overall though, a nice paddle at a very good value.

This is a nice little paddle for anyone new to pickleball or looking to upgrade their entry level paddle. Of course, the carbon fiber is a huge plus providing great control and solid support for smashes and spins. In contrast to the product description, I would reverse the control and spin ratings, i.e., IMO the paddle provides more control than spin. Spin is possible, but I’ve played with other paddles that support much more spin. The paddle plays well and feels comfortable in the hand. The ‘Green Black’ paddle has a stylish, unobtrusive design. I will mention that this is a lightweight and smaller paddle than I generally prefer. Not only is the paddle face a bit stubbier than some, the handle is also rather short. I have large hands and my hand practically encompasses the entire handle. So while that’s not my preference, this would nonetheless be an excellent paddle for anyone with smaller hands or really desiring a lightweight paddle. The construction and quality will deliver lots of playability.

I have just recently started playing Pickleball by taking a class through the Recreation & Art Group offered by the city I live in. The teacher had paddles for us to use and if we wanted one it would cost an additional $100 yet I noticed the teacher was using a different style racket than the one’s meant for us to learn on. I wasn’t playing great and decided to buy a better quality paddle than the ones offered at school since I needed all the help I could get! I found this paddle on Amazon for a lower price than the teacher offered and decided to buy it. It may be my imagination, or I just happened to get better about the time I received this racket, but my play level has definitely improved! I showed the paddle to the teacher, who used to play professionally, and she commented that it seemed to be a very good quality racket, especially for the price. I plan to buy another paddle soon so that once I finish the class, I can drag my husband out to play with me and hopefully for once beat him at something!

This pickleball paddle is lightweight yet sturdy, and the carbon fiber construction gives it a nice feel in hand. The honeycomb non-slip grip is very comfortable, even during long games. I noticed an improvement in both my control and power on the court. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this paddle offers excellent performance and quality at a great price. Definitely recommend it!
