🤣First off, I have to make a quick comment about how these stairs were packaged. In the modern day, I have had many items delivered that were vacuum packed, but I have never had anything packed like these pet stairs. I would rip open a layer of plastic that had been vacuumed around the stairs, only to find another layer of vacuum-packed plastic. There were four (4) layers before I got to the end, and then POP! I had stairs growing in front of my eyes. Hahahaha🤪(Nothing bad about this other than the waste of plastic, I was just surprised by it.)Included in the box was a little instruction sheet that says to give these foam pet stairs 48 to 72 hours to fully re-expand before use. It took the full 72 hours or more for these stairs to no longer be very wrinkled on the sides. Your pet may still be able to use them before this time, but they aren't as firm until fully re-formed. Getting the zipper that connects the top portion of the stairs to the bottom section is an absolute pain. Trying to get the ends aligned properly, and then pulling the pull tab while keeping the two zipper ends in the proper place, all while trying to hold/balance them... it will take a few minutes of patience for sure and some mangling. The foam is firm enough to allow a pet up to around 35 pounds without the foam intending too far to cause the animal to be concerned or worried about using them. Over that weight, I would think your animal might become hesitant trying to use these.The reason why I removed a star from my review rating is due to the cover for these stairs. I have already after only 2 days of use, there are already some pulled threads from claws. Product is made well however it’s too lightweight for my mini dachshund. The stairs move causing him to fall.I wouldn’t buy again.

I don't understand how a product is great needed to be in the Amazon review program! As the saying goes folks do not judge a book by its cover or how many friends it has or in this case reviews because they can always be deceiving! When getting the package I immediately thought okay it has to be vacuum packed but like how. When I opened it it was severely severely vacuum sealed! It came in a couple sealed plastic bags. The final bag it was in you did not even have to use something sharp to open it as it was just Twisted at the end. Which definitely was a nice touch to ensure the customer did not cut the item plus you can save the bag for a later storage. I really wish I would have taken a video of exposing air to the final bag and watching it get as big as it did. It was to be honest my thrill for the day! It comes with a little card that says allow 48 to 72 hours to fully firm up. With how fast it technically inflated kind of, I can only imagine how much more firmer and support it will get in a few days. I tried posting photos of this item at every stage. The two halves the main bottom half and the top 5th step do zipper to one another so that the top is supported and doesn't slide off. I posted a photo of that to show you the zippers. The fabric of this item is very very high quality upon seeing it and touching it! At this point I don't have any doubt that it will hold up for years to come as far as first appearances goes. I mainly got this for my aging cat who is also gaining weight. She thought she would make a debut using her new steps to get up to my mom's bed. That one is blurry because it showed her jumping up. In this case we did not need to use the top 5th step right now because she did a good job jumping up from the main bottom half. But as you can see the photo if I would have that top step on there it would be half an inch taller than the nightstand. All the dimensions of this product on the site are very accurate! I cannot stress enough how amazing this product is! Again absolutely blows my mind why it even needed reviews so again I reiterate never judge a book by its cover or how many friends AKA reviews something has.

These stairs are standard, good quality, dense foam. I’m obsessed that they zip together into one tall set of stairs!! You can use it as two separate sets, or connect them into a tall set. I’m constantly rearranging my house, along with all my dog stairs, and I like that this set can be used in different ways.I own 5 different kinds of foam pet stairs, and it’s tough to get a tall set that is good quality and decently priced. These check all those boxes. The foam is dense, sturdy, and heavy. Definitely good quality. The cover is okay. The adjustable height is awesome.My photo is after 24 hours of expanding, so just about full size. It comes crammed and folded up in plastic, so the cover has wrinkles all over. If it doesn’t smooth out in the next day, I’ll probably iron the cover. Once the wrinkles are gone, it’ll look really nice and high quality. Honestly, I might prefer these to my $200 set of Snoozer pet steps.

My sheltie could not get up on my rather tall bed without straining to jump, so I wanted to see if pet stairs like this could help. While he still isn't completely certain about the stairs as he takes time to adjust to new things, he has used them to get up and down off my bed a few times already. I especially like the fact that the top two stairs can be attached or detached from the rest with a zipper that goes all the way around. With it detached it is great for lower height objects such as a couch or the like, and attached it is good for taller places like my bed. With the zipper all the way around the attachment the top stairs feel very secure, no sliding or wiggling.
