whats the difference between this and their GroLine storage solution?

I use Skunk Labs Potassium Chloride solution . it's cheaper

After a few days, the solution becomes crystallized and chunky. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure. Mine lasted for weeks and only became crystallized of left uncapped or in the open air . Cld be bad to begin with if only a cpl days . Try gettin a refund or a new order and see what happens ..

How much of this are we supposed to use on the ORP meter tip? Just pour some into the basin that the tip slides into?

Well Hanna says not to store the unit in that cap for what reason idk at least on my ph 55 meter but I use those packets it comes with to store it in and use just enuff to cover the electrode then change it once a week or so not sure what ph meter u have but you could most likely use the cap I used it on the last unit I owned so ur call

This is probably an obvious answer but I thought I'd be careful; Can this storage solution be used for an Oakton pH meter? This is way cheaper.

I'm sure its universal just one thing when I used it, it got crusty on me so I just use ph 4 or 7 solution to store mine in and use the cleanin solution once a week on it is all but it would work for your meter if you wanna try it out for yourself and see.

Should use

I have a PH meter with a wet probe. It is very important to beep the probe in a buffer solution to void it drying out. Also a dry probe will make the auto calibration mode on a high end PH meter fail in some cases as the sensor itself not providing a signal strong enough for the meter to red. pH probes generate very low currents and millivolt levels so allowing the probe to dry out never a good idea. Of your probe is a wet probe it will have arrived inserted into a small pot with a rubber o ring seal.
