Excellent laptop and tablet combination.I purchased this laptop as I had a gap between my tablet and desktop PC’s. Hated replying to emails on my phone or tablet, and not always want to start the desktop up for an email! That’s if I’m actually at home. So this being such a slim small unit it’s ideal to have on your lap and take it away with you.As a laptop it is exactly what you would expect, slim but ridged. You can feel the build quality.Fast start up and very responsive in everything I have used it for. I added a Bluetooth mouse to it, which was seamless.I have installed Office pro and added a 200gb micro SD card for storage. Loads of room for other software and office works perfectly. This is a real gem and pleasure to use.Next job is to install visual studio for coding.Now comes the hidden extra. The screen is touch even when in laptop mode. It’s so intuitive and easy to use.There is a small slide switch on the side of the keyboard to turn it off, then the keyboard can be swivelled behind the screen and you have a fully functional tablet but with the full power of a full laptop.You can even use the keyboard, not full swivelled around as a stand, which I found very useful when watching a movie and screaming TV programs.The inbuilt speaks are actually very good. They and positioned on the underside of the keyboard on the curved sides. Of course you can always use headphones from the headphone 3.5mm jack or add a Bluetooth speaker if you need more.The laptop has a “C” type USB and two other USB ports. One being USB3. HDMI output for an external monitor or TV. The storage is SSD, so no moving parts, plus the added speed this new technology brings to your equipment.The charger is small and has a fixed cable. I’ve been getting 7 hours use out of it without any problems.The screen is very clear and has great contrast. There is a screen facing camera, which in laptop mode is at the bottom of the screen. This actually is not a problem at all, and means you do not “finger dirty” the lens when opening and closing the case, which always annoyed me on other laptops.At first set up you are walked through all the configurations with Microsoft’s windows 10 set up, so if you have a Microsoft account it does a lot for you.The laptop does need to catch up updates, this all happens in the background and you are free to use the laptop as it comes.I can honestly say this is a little gem, it has exceeded my expectations and more than filled the gap I wanted to fill when I purchased it.

I don't often write critical reviews but this machine makes me so angry that I need to let off steam. It really was a complete waste of (quite a lot) of money. I have been in touch with Xidu several times by email, since shortly after I bought it and they've done precisely nothing. I've sent photos and emails as requested but received no help whatsoever. Now its just over a year old so probably its too late to do what I should have done in the first place - sent it back.I bought this machine as a replacement for a small Acer Iconia I'd had for some years. Portability was the main consideration and it fitted the bill. I didn't want anything expensive as it was only intended for occasional use away from home.The first problem was getting it to boot up. Mostly it won't boot up unless it's plugged in to a power source, which is obviously pointless for a portable. Usually the light comes on and then it just hangs and you have to start again. Sometimes it will boot up if the battery is fully charged, but as the battery drains extremely fast (ie overnight) that's seldom the case.The next problem is it often wont connect to the internet, even when my desktop machine and tablet are connected. This may be partly because (as I've recently discovered) the WiFi keeps turning itself off all the time, though I don't think that's the only reason. I've tried all the suggested fixes for that but nothing works. So if I take this machine anywhere I now have to take a tablet as well, which is just stupid. In fact I'm writing this review on a 10 yr old Nexus 7. Its a lot more reliable than the Xidu, but I wanted a PC with a keyboard!So be advised - don't buy this, and don't deal with Xidu.

I was annoyed that though another person asked the seller about the keyboard and was assured it would be a UK keyboard layout I still received and US layout keyboard. I made my peace with this as I desperately needed a small, lightweight portable device and this one had everything else I needed it for. I had originally set out to but a tablet but then couldnt be bothered with having to buy ugly, flimsy keyboards and extras to go with it. I saw this and realised that it was only a little bigger than the tablets I was looking at and in its folded state behave exactly like a tablet. Best of both worlds really, in that you have a sturdy enough laptop when you need to type comfortably which converts to tablet if you just want to suft Youtube or watch movies.ProsLight weight - I easily carry in my handbag it most daysSmall - fits in most of my bagsWindows operating system (so easy to create docs/sync with my home files etc)Fast enoughTouch screen is goodGood picture qualityVery convenient- you dont have to take youre expensive lap top out and end up damaging it/being muggedConsTHE SOUND is absolutely terrible. It sounds like that thing where make a phone out of two cans and a piece of string between them and you listem to your friend talking in the other end. VERY tinny sound. Almost to the point of being unusable.Not much memory space, but what do you want? its a cheap itemThe power cable is extremely short so I can't charge whilst using it without sitting on the floor with my face pressed up against the wall (slight exaggeration) OR without an extension. Come on Xidu, not even a 2 meter cable??The tracker pad is not very responsive, against a common feature of cheaper laptops.No accessories - Eg Protective skin/cases (.., better sound quality)Overall for what I need to use it for it is sufficient and I am very glad I purchased it. With a few tweaks this will be an outstanding product.

Franchement, à ce prix on peut s'attendre à tout, surtout provenant de marque qu'on ne connait pas.Et bien j'aurais du m'attendre à mieux, l'ordi/tablette est super.Colis: chargeur livré type UK, nécessite un adaptateur. Très bien emballé, guide OK, protection écran, clavier, toutes les faces. TB.Il se prend en main tout de suite, l'écran tactile manque peut être un peu de réactivité, mais à ce prix.... il fonctionne très bien. Vidéo/film, application bureautique, tout fonctionne bien et en même temps... Aucun bug/crash depuis une semaine et il tourne toute la journée. Vraiment très satisfait.

An sich ist das Geraet zwar nicht zu schlecht, allerdings gerade fuer den deutschen Markt eher unpraktisch, dass die Tastatur keine Umlaute hat (qwerty statt qwertz tastatur). Außerdem ist die Stecker fuer die UK, nicht deutschland (habe mir dazu allerdings super guenstig einen adapter gekauft, also nicht zu schlimm).Aber nun zu allgemeinen Problemen. Das Geraet ist unglaublich langsam. Ich habe bestimmt ne ganze Minute gebraucht um zum ende dieser Seite zu scrollen um eine Rezension zu hinterlassen. Selbstverstaendlich laden entsprechend Videos und Filme super langsam und muessen dauernd buffern.Dazu kommt noch, dass die Lautsprecher furchtbar sind! Das habe ich in den letzten 10 Jahren nicht mehr erlebt. Mit Kopfhoerern absolut akzeptabel, aber ohne geht garnicht.Entschluss gefasst, der Laptop wird zurueck geschickt...

Inizialmente ero scettica, non conoscendo la marca..poi mi sono lasciata convincere dall'ottimo prezzo, dalle caratteristiche (che avrei trovato in un pc di marca nota solo spendendo molto di più), dalla descrizione accurata delle caratteristiche tecniche, e devo dire che sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa. Non solo dalle caratteristiche della macchina, estremamente funzionale e versatile considerata la doppia modalità pc/tablet, ma anche dalla cortesia e rapidità con cui l'azienda produttrice risponde ai quesiti e risolve i problemi del cliente (anche in piena notte!). Unico neo, il fatto che non esiste in Italia un servizio di assistenza per il prodotto, per cui in pratica non si può beneficiare della garanzia. Ma per quanto mi riguarda, questo è un problema marginale, considerando il prezzo basso del prodotto..Quindi facendo un bilancio complessivo, direi che il prodotto come rapporto qualità prezzo è assolutamente da consigliare!

Premessa: non sono un'esperta di informatica. Comprato per la prima superiore di mia figlia, serviva un semplice portatile (non necessitava di dover caricare programmi pesanti) che fosse comodo da portare nello zaino. E' totalmente soddisfatta per l'uso richiesto, la batteria per ora ha una buona tenuta, lo schermo in modalità touch screen funziona bene, è leggero, carino e veloce. Quando lo userò un po' anch'io aggiornerò la recensione. Unico se possiamo chiamarlo neo è il touchpad, abituata con il mio che è superliscio, questo è leggermente ruvido, ma tutta una questione di abitudine, la risposta comunque allo sfioramento è buona/ottima. Risposta del venditore per la consegna del codice di attivazione windows pressoché immediata.

Habe Heute mein XIDU Philbook erhalten.Der Netz/Trafo Stecker passt aber nicht in unsere Steckdosen.(Amerikanische Version).Auch ist die Bedinungsanleitung in Chinesisch & English.Wo bekomme ich jetzt den Orignal Netz/Trafo Stecker her?Finde ich nicht gut. Ich überlege mir es wieder zurück zu senden
