It gives off a calm, relaxing feel when it’s spinning, and it stays very quiet even when the wind picks up and it’s turning faster. The solar color-changing light is a nice touch. It cycles through about 7 or 8 different colors and slowly fades from one to the next. It’s not very bright, but it gives off a soft, comfortable glow that works well for decoration. We’ve even checked it early in the morning, and it was still lit. Putting it together was pretty easy overall. You might want an extra set of hands when working with the larger sections, but nothing complicated. A small wrench is included to tighten the nuts for the spinner. The main parts are made from aluminum, so it doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. The spinner rotates on metal bearings, which helps it stay smooth and quiet. It also doesn’t take much wind to get it moving, which is nice. The pole section has three metal prongs that stick into the ground holding everything up. One thing to keep in mind is safety. Since it’s made of metal, the spinning parts could hurt someone if they touch it while it’s moving fast. We mounted ours about 8 feet high to keep it out of reach. Just something to think about depending on where you plan to put it. The solar light itself has a glass globe around it, and it’s nicely cut so the light reflects and gives off a sparkly effect. It’s rated to handle winds up to around 40 mph, but if bad weather is coming, the top section can slide off easily so you can bring it inside to protect it from damage. I got this wind spinner as a surprise for my wife, and it's definitely a statement piece. It’s significantly larger than I initially thought it would be, so be sure to check the dimensions carefully. Thankfully, it arrived well-packed and all pieces were undamaged during shipping. The materials seem to be good quality for a yard ornament, and assembly was surprisingly quick and easy. It's heavier than I expected, but still relatively lightweight enough to move around with ease. The spinners move smoothly and easily, even with just a slight breeze. It includes two rechargeable batteries, which is nice. One was already pre-installed in the light. The light itself features a single RGB LED that fades gradually through all colors, which is neat. It activates when ambient light levels are low enough, and it's visible at night. However, the light isn't very bright (which is actually not a bad thing in my opinion, especially with the rainbow colors). My wife was excited while I was putting it together, but when she saw it in the yard, she wasn’t impressed. She feels it's too large and says it reminds her of Loki from the Marvel Universe. She preemptively apologized to the neighbors for the new addition to our yard, and she's already looking to re-home it. Personally, I have no complaints and think it's quite striking. The product itself is fantastic, and the only downside is that my surprise turned out to not be very well received, haha.
