PaperblanksSpirit of Womankind Soul and Tears Mini Notebook with Lined Pages

This is absolutely gorgeous and I'd give it six stars if I could. The Soul and Tears journal with artwork by Laurel Burch is my favourite of all the Paperblanks journals and I love it so much that after I was originally given it as a gift, I bought many others as gifts for other people (which were liked by all the recipients).I prefer the larger size, as this comes in midi as well as mini, but even the mini versions are a delight.The embossing - particularly and more so on the midi version - is deep and has a lovely texture. The interior smells fresh. The paper is a delight to write upon. Normally I hate lined paper but these journals have very faint lines that really don't get in the way of one's view before or after writing. The metallic colours are lovely with highlights in very carefully placed holographic gold foil. Turn the book at different angles and you'll get a different experience each time.If this were made in a large size and unlined for drawing rather than writing, I'd buy it and my life would be complete. (Well, no. My life would be complete with a titanium body, but I don't think one can buy those from Amazon.)Here's a tip if you want to photograph this (or any other Paperblanks) journal: stand it on its short edge with the cover open, and photograph it in the sun. That way you'll see all the different lights and images that are here which your camera might otherwise miss.
