Make a recipe a few times and it becomes habit. Make it enough and it becomes home. In his much-anticipated new book, Yotam Ottolenghi brings his inspiring, flavour-forward approach to comfort cooking, delivering new classics that taste of home. Roast chicken and other traybakes sit alongside vibrant curries and stews. A bowl of pasta becomes Caramelised Onion Orecchiette with Hazelnuts & Crispy Sage , a warming soup is Cheesy Bread Soup with Savoy Cabbage & Cavolo Nero , and a plate of mash is transformed into Garlicky Aligot Potato with Leeks & Thyme . Weaving memories of childhood and travel with over 100 irresistible recipes, Ottolenghi COMFORT is a celebration of food and home – of the connections we make as we cook, and pass on from generation to generation. This is comfort food, Ottolenghi style. - Number One Sunday Times bestseller September 2024 Review: A bit of this and a bit of that - I have all the Ottolenghi books in my collection and this is my least favourite of them all. No great Wow recipes and my disappointment started by viewing a recipe for pakoras of all things. I got the feeling that flavour at all cost including health and nutrition seem to be the mantra. There are a couple of excellent recipes though with the shawarma meat loaf (my cookout pictured above) and white poached chicken with peanut Rayu being the standouts. If you’re an Ottolenghi fan, like me, then buy this but if this is going to be your introduction to Ottolenghi, I’d suggest start elsewhere. Review: Simple and tasty - Very happy with this purchase. Some great recipes and simple spices, which are not hard to find in the supermarket. Can't wait to cook all the recipes in the book.

My fave book now!
This cookbook has quickly become one of my favorites! The recipes are easy to follow, beautifully explained, and full of flavor. I love how each dish comes with helpful tips and clear photos — even as a beginner, I felt confident trying new things. The ingredients are accessible, and everything I’ve made so far has turned out delicious. It’s not just a cookbook, it’s an inspiration to spend more time in the kitchen. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves cooking or wants to learn!

Pretty cover, annoying to cook with.
Euro measurements, ingredients have to be bought online or at a fancy grocery store.
