Compré esta placa pensando que al actualizar el equipo todo iría claramente a mejor, pero mi experiencia inicial no ha sido tan positiva como esperaba. Con DDR5 el tiempo de arranque ha aumentado bastante respecto a mi equipo anterior. Además, tuve que entrar en la BIOS y ajustar configuraciones para conseguir un funcionamiento correcto desde el principio, algo que esperaba que viniera mejor configurado de fábrica. Otro detalle molesto es que usando una GTX 1050 Ti no puedo acceder a la BIOS si el monitor está conectado a la gráfica. Solo aparece imagen cuando carga el sistema operativo y para entrar en BIOS tengo que conectar la pantalla directamente a la salida de vídeo de la placa base. Según he leído puede estar relacionado con que la gráfica ya tiene unos años, pero sigue siendo una experiencia poco intuitiva. Entiendo que algunas de estas limitaciones puedan depender de la plataforma AM5 o de la compatibilidad del hardware, pero que el arranque no sea igual o incluso más rápido que mi anterior equipo resulta decepcionante, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que la placa cuesta prácticamente lo mismo que la CPU y mi anterior equipo es de hace 10 años.

Works like a dream so far. Install of the board and components onto the board was very easy. After I swapped out my old motherboard with this one I was able to boot into the windows os that was previously installed on my SSD. After confirming that all the hardware was working correctly I attempted a clean install of Windows OS. This process did not complete cleanly. After a lot of troubleshooting and making sure all the hardware was still working I determined that the problem was an outdated bios firmware. Also, after the clean install was successful I had issues with the wifi not restarting appropriately after the desktop went to sleep and I turned it back on. After updating the drivers to the latest version on the MSI website this issue was resolved as well. Just posting this here in case anyone runs into a similar issue so they can benefit from my experience.

Funciona correctamente, todo llegó en orden. Obviamente es apta para cualquier procesador, el PCIe 5.0 es real. Todo es tal cual las especificaciones, otro detalle es que viene con un USB ya con sus drivers, muy útil cuando andas instalando Windows la primera vez.

Had major issues with the ASUS TUF. Constant blue screens despite updating bios. Thought maybe my nvme was going bad or perhaps the EXPO settings weren't playing nice. Amazon were great in letting me return the ASUS. The Tomahawk has been flawless from Day 1. No more BSOD, no issues at all, ram EXPO settings are stable.
