Crying. Cheering. Couldn't stop reading.
Of course Rachel did it again. When I started Fraternize I wasn't sure how the story would go. I was surprised at the way it shaped up and yet it felt like that was the natural course. The way it should be. Even when it was a different HEA than I expected. Which made it that much better to me.I knew going into this book the who but I wasn't sure of the 'how'. Truthfully, this might be one of my favorites. There is pain and loss and grief. All living, breathing emotions and as someone touched closely by a similar event I was crying while reading.Re-experiencing all those same emotions but also re-finding the hope in Miller's words. In Jax's and Kinsey's.This may be a work of fiction but the words are overflowing with hope and love and faith, applicable to life, as it is right now.If you need me, I'll be over on the couch with a plate of cookies and happy tears.

Absolute Perfection!
After finishing this book, it took me a while to compose my thoughts to be able to write this review. Infraction was a laugh out loud romantic comedy, but it also had me in tears, like sobbing tears, which I wasn't expecting in this book! After reading Fraternize, I really wanted Miller to find his HEA and after the epilogue and seeing some insight into what may come, I really wanted to see where Rachel Van Dyken was going to go with Kinsey and Miller, and my oh my did she take us on a ride. An over protective big brother in Jax, an ex that is awful, two friends that can't seem to keep their meddling to themselves, and things are definitely going to get interesting, and they do!When Jax asks Miller to "fake date" Kinsey , he had no clue what transpired between them in Vegas seven months ago, or that things between them at the moment weren't as kosher as they were letting on. Kinsey and Miller can't deny their attraction, nor are they willing to put their hearts on the line, but when they're forced to pretend to be in a relationship, it opens things up for both of them, and I loved how everything transpired. Throw in Kinsey finding out that her father has cancer, and everything seems to fall apart. Miller seems to be the only one able to keep Kinsey from falling apart, and she hates and loves it all at the same time. Try as they may what they're fighting is going to happen, but keeping it from Jax is harder than they thought.Watching Miller fight his feelings for Kinsey, and realizing he was falling for her was interesting to watch play out, especially after reading his story in Fraternize. He was so afraid of not being chosen, and being left alone, that I truly think he was afraid she wouldn't chose him, so he was afraid to fully give himself to her, but when he finally started to put himself out there, was when things truly started to go well for them. Kinsey was the one that was having problems being open and honest with Miller, and it was Jax that laid it all on the line for everyone and caused problems for them.Everything does come to a head, and there are tears, like ugly sobbing tears, which I was expecting, because I came to love Kinsey and Jax's father, trust me you will too, but how this story ended was pure perfection. I laughed, I cried, and I truly fell in love with all of these characters. There was angst, drama, and a ton of laughs, which made the tears worth it. Miller and Kinsey's story was pure perfection, and I adored seeing Jax's point of view in this book. I truly hope one day he will get a book of his own, he definitely deserves it. Miller's story has come full circle, and the last few sentences between him and Emerson was pure perfection! Rachel Van Dyken has given us a beautiful story, and my first top rated book of 2018! If you haven't read one-clicked Infraction yet, go grab it today!

This is one great series!
Infraction, Rachel Van Dyken’s newest read in the Players Game series is a quick read that you will fall in love with, especially if you loved Fraternize. When I’m lookin for something quick but meaningful I always pick up a RVD read because I know she won’t disappoint! This heartfelt story will leave you feeling inspired and in such good spirits; everything about this book was amazing. If you want a book that will connect you instantly with the characters, show you how humorous banter and heartfelt sentiments can uplift you in a way that only a good book can, then you need to read the Players Game series now. This installment focuses on Kinsey and Miller, but even with that said you still get the other characters pretty frequently as well. That’s another thing I love about this series, Rachel shows you a group of people intimately woven together to form this tight-fitting family that you just want to be a part of. If you’ve read the first installment then you know that Kinsey is another cheerleader and Miller is a football player, the one’s who made a “mistake” at the end of Fraternize to be more exact. Infraction kind of picks up where Miller and Kinsey left off. After the whole mistake thing back in book one, Kinsey and Miller decide it would be best to stay away from one another, but Jax, Kinsey’s way over protective brother and quarterback of the football team, has other plans. He needs Miller to watch after Kinsey due to some circumstances that leave Jax feeling overwhelmed and out of control. This is the not-so-good nail in the proverbial head for Miller and Kinsey becasue they can’t be just “friends,” especially since Jax wants them to fake date. In Jax’s mind this is the perfect setup to keep Kinsey safe from her ex, and now member of the football team, Anderson because he thinks he can trust Miller not to move in on his sister. However, with the fiasco from the first book and given their amazing chemistry together the fake dating becomes very real to the both of them quick.Through all of this Kinsey and Jax are truly tested, in not only the relationship aspect of their lives, but also in their family. I loved watching Jax evolve into someone he didn’t think he was capable of being. Kinsey’s strength in her own self discovery made me love her even more, and Miller really is a good fit for her. I loved everything about this book; I only wish Rachel would have given us more on Kinsey’s backstory because I found it very intriguing.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I hope there is more to come!

Great relationships between friends and finding the true definition of family
Miller wasnt sure which direction his personal life was going to take. Now that his relationship with Em was definitely in the friend zone, and she is with his other best friend Sanchez he was going to have to sort himself out.To celebrating the season win, the team go off to Vagas to blow off some steam and get drunk. Em and Sanchez have one room in the suite, Miller the other, with Kinsey sleeping on the sofa, or at least that's the way it starts off. Miller wakes up with Kinsey in his bed - Jax is going to murder him! No one gets to even look the wrong way at his little sister never mind anything else. They had a great night, but boy this was a big mistake. He doesn't want to hurt Kinsey's feelings, but he also likes to be alive. When Jax announces that Kinsey has to spend the summer in Europe with grandma it's the ideal get out of jail card for the worried Miller. A few months later Miller and Kinsey bump into each other again. She's not happy that Miller helped Jax pack her off for the summer, but what she doesn't know is that Miller has tried his hardest to forget what happened and ignore his feelings for her.In the meantime Kinsey's ex Anderson has joined the team. Jax is worried he will try to get his claws back into Kinsey and decides the best way to do that is to make Miller pretend to be her boyfriend! There are lots of secrets between the three that Kinsey doesn't want to admit to, and she definitely doesn't want Miller involved. Can the two keep up the pretence? Can they keep their secrets from Jax?Lots of tension, family secrets and revelations. Great relationships between the friends and finding out the true definition of family. Great story as ever from Rachel Van Dyken.

Amazing!
This is the second book in the series and picks up where the first book ended.Miller a NFL start finds himself waking up next to his overprotective teammates little sister, team cheerleader Kinsey. Miller is still getting over his best friend’s choice to marry another man. Even though he’s happy for her, his heart isn’t ready for anymore damage. Kinsey is heartbroken when Miller shows that he isn’t willing to give them a shot and he teams up with her brother Jax to send her away.Captain Jax is struggling to deal with a family issue, leading his team and keeping his sister’s past from haunting her. The last thing he needs is a woman, especially as he’s spent years avoiding any romantic entanglements.Jax decides that Kinsey needs a fake boyfriend and the only man he trusts is teammate Miller. Kinsey wants to distract Jax enough to get Miller to see her as more than a one night stand so she sets him up on a date. Have these siblings unintentionally picked the perfect partners for each other or will it all come crashing down when the truth comes out?I loved this book. It was funny, sweet and heartbreaking in equal measures. If you haven’t read the first one, please start there first as you’d really be missing out on lots of back story. Definitely worth reading!

This story follows on from book 1, and although ...
This story follows on from book 1, and although it could be read as a stand alone it may be a little confusing to understand the brotherhood and girl friendships. This is Miller’s and Kinsey’s story. It is romantic but incredibly emotional. Taboo subjects such as death and bereavement are covered so sensitivily and with such enhanced understanding, a treasure to read. There is lust, trust and humour. There is catching up on Em’s and Sanchez, and there is Jax and Hartley. Let us hope that story will be told too. Rachel is a fantastically diverse author, with an incredible imagination and insight into life. Well worth 5 stars.
