I really like the fact Jobin have taken the time and care to ensure this wok is well packaged ensuring no damage during the shipping process. Once the seasoning has been finished off, you'll find this wok to be nonstick and I've tested this by frying an egg without oil, perfect fried egg. It is not as heavy as I thought it would be, so nice to handle, and the lid sits nicely on top, though it is not a tight fit it still retains the moisture. With it having a flat base means you can use it on a glass top hob including an induction hob, it works on our Samsung induction hob nicely and heats up quickly. If you have never owned a carbon steel wok then you might find that you end up using it for just about everything, like we do, from browning of meats for a stew to cooking egg fried rice, it really is so versatile. After each use, just wash with warm water and cloth, not one of those green or yellow pads with a scourer on, reheat and wipe some oil around the inside with a piece of paper kitchen towel, keep doing this and the wok will last you years and build up the most perfect nonstick surface. I do really like this wok, and would certainly recommend to both newcomers and seasoned cooks.

This is Jobin’s 30cm carbon steel wok, It's really well made, feels solid and good quality. It came in two pieces, the wok itself and the wooden handle that I had to attach, which was simple enough to do. I seasoned it like I do with all my carbon steel cookware, just a bit of oil and heat, then wiped it down. It heats up fast on my wok burner which laps the sides of the wok with a flame, which is exactly what you want from a wok, and the heat spreads evenly from the bottom to the sides. I stir-fried, sautéed some potatoes (although this was a bit starchy for the pan), then ended up shallow-frying some gyoza dumplings in it (rather than steaming), and it handled everything just fine. The non-stick surface works well, and cleaning it after was not difficult at all. It has a shallow glass lid, which is handy for steaming or keeping things warm, and for checking nothing is burning. I think if you look after it, it’ll last for absolutely ages. For the size and quality, it's definitely a very good choice, so I’d like to recommend this one to you.

Decent replacement for old wok

Lasted less than 6 months, it was not non stick then then pan deteriorated and went rusty

Recently picked up this wok, and I have to say it's completely transformed my cooking experience! From scrambled eggs to stir-fried veggies, nothing sticks to the pan, and cleanup is a breeze! What truly won me over is its versatility. This skillet works flawlessly on any stove—gas, induction, electric—it handles them all! When using it on my induction cooktop, it heats up quickly and evenly, which is a godsend for someone like me who's always in a rush. The quality of the carbon steel construction is equally impressive. It's lighter than my old cast iron skillet yet remains sturdy and durable. The 30cm size is perfect for family meals, and the deep sides let me cook large batches without worrying about spills. This pan perfectly blends quality, convenience, and safety—I can't imagine cooking without it now!

When I first got this wok, it felt substantial and had a superb texture. After greasing it according to the instructions, I started to use it officially.When frying eggs, the heat conduction is particularly fast, not a moment before the bottom of the egg is shaped, and the heat is super uniform, the eggs are cooked just right, there is no burnt place, too surprised. This carbon steel wok isn’t too heavy, is a great size and is easy to use, clean and maintain. It’s large enough for both family sized stir frying and deep frying, and heats up quickly and evenly. It responds quickly to me altering the heat, and has a good rounded shape which is great for stir frying, keeping food visible and preventing steaming. It also has a nice small flat bottom to provide stability and stop sauces from reducing too quickly. The wooden handle doesn’t get warm and provides a reliable grip, while the well fitted tempered glass lid is vented to release steam and allows me to monitor my food without lifting the lid. I always hand wash my own wok and then dry it on the hob. I apply a small amount of cooking oil with a paper towel while it’s still hot, before I put it away in a dry place. It’s a good wok in my opinion and fairly priced. I can see no reason why it wouldn’t last well if cared for properly, and I’d be happy to recommend it.

Very happy with this wok. I am getting up in years and have a bad right wrist. My old wok was way too heavy. This one is very light, but sturdy. Well built and it is very non-stick. I have been using it for about two weeks now and I use it for just about everything. Easy to flip items and cleans even easier.
