Picked this up for Christmas eggnog — ended up loving it on its own too
I originally grabbed this St‑Rémy XO to use in my Christmas eggnog, and it worked perfectly — smooth, rich, and gave the drink a really nice depth without overpowering it. What surprised me, though, was how good it is on its own. After using it for the eggnog, I tried a glass neat and it was genuinely lovely: warm, smooth, and far better than I expected for the price. It’s turned into one of those bottles I keep around because it works for everything — mixing, sipping, or adding a bit of festive flavour to holiday recipes. For a 1‑litre XO at this price, it’s a solid buy and feels like you’re getting proper quality. If you want something that’s great for Christmas drinks but also stands on its own, this has been a fantastic pick for me.

A Great French Brandy.
Sweet. Smooth. Warming. Authentically French. Really, really nice. I bought several more bottles..... And drank them quite happily.... Really just tooooo easy to drink!

Got this at a great price in the Autumn and used in Christmas cake. It was tasty. And I realised I quite like brandy. Sadly more expensive now

Very well worth buying
I'm not a Brandy drinker I'm not a brandy connoisseur I prefer single malt whiskys. The XO means extra old? it's older it will have been matured for at least six years for extra flavour and subtlety However I wanted to buy this as a present for somebody who does drink brandy so I spent some researching decent brandy. Obviously ignoring the aged vintage 10,000 and 20,000 quid a bottle I stumbled across this one which in several reviews came top of the lower midrange price bracket. Anyway after I had given her this as a present she says can I get you a drink and I said yes I'd like a sample of the birthday present I've bought you. We both toasted her birthday and both agreed this was a good brandy miles ahead of the usual stuff she drinks. She hugged me and thanked me as a dear friend for thinking of her and choosing something really good. I said don't drink it quickly have a drink now and then and think of me kindly Even as a whisky drinker I can say highly recommended
