Works Amazing! Helps maintain great posture throughout my whole day without any discomfort!
I have struggled and suffered from back pain for most of my life. I remember being in school and my backpack being so heavy sometimes, that it was hard to carry on my back. I would have to rotate it from my back to my front while walking to or from school. The pain would be so intense sometimes it would distract me from class. All my brain could concentrate on was the burning and tingling sensation in my neck and in between my shoulder blades. I would try to massage it to relieve the pain but it was never enough. I would beg my little brothers, friends, and parents, literally anyone I could, to dig their elbows into my shoulder blade muscles. They could dig their elbow into my muscles for hours and I am telling you, it never was enough. The second they would stop the pain would be there again and hurt even worse. You know when your foot falls asleep and you get that fuzzy tingling feeling? Well it was like that, but more like pins and needles. It would tingle all day long and then burn all night from tingling all day it seemed like. Due to the heavy backpack, my posture was horrible. I constantly struggled with my posture, even into my adult life and to this very day. I try to roll my shoulders back on my own, but I always feel like I looked unnatural As if I was trying to hard, and trying to push out my chest. I have known for awhile now that I needed help with this, so I began to look for something to help me with my posture. My grandma use to warn me if didn't fix my posture, that I would end up looking like the hunch back of Notre dame! Nobody wants that! Plus in my adult life, my pain tolerance has dwindled from the many years of suffering from the constant pain in my shoulders. Enough was enough. I am so thankful I found this product! I have been wearing it ever since I bought it and I can already feel a huge difference in my posture and pain! So far the painful tingling and burning has almost completely gone away, as long as I have this brace on! It is so easy to use and put on, and even easier to adjust it all by yourself. The padding is great! Making it very comfortable, so I am able to wear this brace all day long without any discomfort. I was worried it would make me look/feel funny, but it helps pull back my shoulders and also looks helps me look natural while doing so. You can wear this easily over your clothes or under it, if you want or need it hidden. I especially love wearing this while working because I dont have to constantly think about and remind myself to pull my shoulders back, because this helps me automatically do so. Which also helps keep me pain free while I work. I can't say enough great things about this awesome product! If you struggle with your posture and keeping your shoulders rolled back on your own, then this is exactly what you need! Look no further! I promise you will not be disappointed. I have suffered for years with this annoying tingling and burning sensation and to finally have a break from it is Amazing! Beyond words! I am so thankful for this product and hope one day it completely trains my body into having and maintaining great posture. So thankful that it is comfortable to wear and easy to use, and that it ACTUALLY works. Thank you so much for creating such an awesome product, that actually does what it says. I couldn't be more satisfied and thankful for my purchase. Thank you thank you! A million times thank you!

Works Well for Posture โ Velcro Wears Out Over Time
The Truweo Posture Corrector Back Brace definitely helps with improving posture and keeping your shoulders pulled back throughout the day. It gives a noticeable difference when sitting or standing for long hours, helping reduce slouching and tension. However, after some time, the Velcro straps started to loosen, which makes it less secure and comfortable. Itโs also not very discreet under clothing, so itโs not the best choice if you plan to wear it in public or at work. Despite that, it still does the job well and provides solid support. Pros: Improves posture and shoulder alignment Comfortable and effective for daily use Easy to put on and adjust Cons: Velcro weakens over time Not very discreet under clothes Verdict: The Truweo Posture Corrector is a good choice for home or office use if you want to build better posture habits. Just be aware that the Velcro may wear down with regular use, and itโs best worn under loose clothing.

Gimmicky, hurts underarms, cuts off circulation and twisted straps?
I ordered this with some hope but mostly skepticism. Here is how it went down for me. When it arrived I put it on and made the necessary adjustments. Well, it fit but didn't do anything (I had it in my armpits). Not wanting to have to return it was my main thought. I fiddled with it for about 5 more minutes and then something happened. It worked! It took maybe about 15 minutes to find the right position on my body and how to adjust the straps to fit me. After a day or two I started to become more familiar with it. In a few days I was learning what too tight was vs not tight enough. In a week I had mastered the fit and positions that work for me. I have had this a month now. I went from being skeptic to being an absolute believer. I wear it around the house, sitting in my desk chair. And to tell you the truth I only have worn it for 1/2 to 1 hour a night. Here is what it has done for me. When out in public without the straps my shoulders stay back and I stand more dignified. I have left town without it twice for a few days each time, it didn't effect muscle memory because if I even thought of rolling my shoulders forward it actually hurt. I can't tell you what your results or experience will be if you purchase it but it sure worked for me. And to think I almost returned it without even giving it a real try. Has it helped with my lower back pain? Oh yes it has. A lot! Has it improved my posture? When I stood with my back against a wall in the beginning the back of my head was 5 fingers away. After a month I am two fingers away. So yes it has improved my posture. Was it easy to use? Not the first day. There is a learning curve. Is it comfortable? Well that itself is a subjective question. What I find comfortable might not be to the next person. For me at least yes, after I took a day or two to fine tune it. Don't expect it to be comfortable right off the bat even if you set it up correctly the first time. Remember, the purpose of this thing is to pull back on those shoulders and train back muscles. You are essentially working out your entire shoulder and back group to retrain them so yea, it's not meant to cuddle you. Just don't dive into it and strap yourself into it like a rocket. Go slow. Does it hurt the underarms, Cut of circulation? It sure does if your doing it wrong. That happened when I jumped into like I knew what I was doing. How hard can it be to learn how to use this stupid strap thing? The first thing I did wrong was positioning. I learned to NOT put them in my armpit. What would I be trying to achieve fix my armpit? Then I cranked those straps. Yea, it hurts. If the straps are hurting your pits or cutting circulation pull the straps outwards to wear the shoulder meets the collar bone and adjust the straps from there. That is where the straps should be in the first place. Do the straps and D rings twist? Yes, if your doing it wrong again. You might have strapped it wrong. The straps only twist if you put it on without adjusting it from the last use. Don't Put it on again without care thinking it will be the same. If you can reach around your back you can pull down the middle tab with the flag or untwist the straps. If you cannot reach around your back take it off, loosen the straps and start fresh. The complaints on here are from people that are just too much in a hurry or just don't have the patience to learn these straps. If you are considering this product do your research and ask questions. There are plenty of straps out there and I think I now know why this is the top product. It simply works if you take the time to familiarize yourself with it.

Worked for a short period
Purchased this brace to improve upper back and neck posture. Iโm 5โ7โ 150 lbs. No pain issues. First time made a very noticeable improvement in posture although I needed help to donn the brace and several adjustment attempts until I got the correct one for me. After a week I was able to wear the brace for a couple of hours, but noticed the followings: 1. adjustment straps required more of a stretch to obtain the posture correction. 2. When moving around and about - I am always on the move at a small horse ranch - the brace shifts: looks like the center piece in the back rotates higher up to the very top of my upper back, and the adjustment straps rotate with it under my arm pits. This results in loss of posture correction and cannot be fixed by just just trying to derogate the brace. It has to be undone and then re-done. Itโs been 3 weeks now and the straps have lost more elasticity. Donning the brace like a back pack doesnโt work for me and I follow the advice given in one of the videos. In summary: this brace worked very well for me for a short period of time and then it started losing its functionality. I would think that other posture correction braces with a similar design would have similar issues.

WOW
I usually do not review my purchases. I should, since they are what I rely on when making a selection. I always put it off until I forget. This product as amazed me so much, that I feel I must share my review NOW! I think I may have owned this for 24 hours, and already it has made a huge difference in my life. As soon as I got the package, I opened it and tried it on right away. I have been a 'slumper' since I was a teen - my Dad used to tell me to stand up straight! When I see pictures of myself, I look awful, all slumped shoulders and stooping over. Lately, I have felt a hump beginning to form in my upper spine, near my neck, and it's been painful. I decided it was time to look for a solution to all of those problems, and this is what I found. Wow. Already, I feel a difference. I wore it while driving, and while working - my work consists of being on my feet a lot, and doing some heavy lifting, too. My back felt RELIEF the whole time I wore it - having my shoulders pulled back actually lessened the strain on my upper spine, and it felt WONDERFUL. Also while driving, I have to continually correct my posture because I slump down and forward. Having it on while driving felt great - I really noticed a difference. My only complaint is why on earth I did not seek a solution sooner - YEARS ago. I recommend this to everyone suffering from back/spine pain, and also with a slumping issue. It's only a few hours I've owned it and already feel better - it's already improved my quality of life. I had to give it a 4-star for comfort - but only because it isn't the most comfortable thing to have one, BUT, when you pull your shoulders back to where they should be, it becomes more comfortable! GO BUY THIS!!! *****UPDATE*****Put this item to the ultimate test: 12 hours in Disney World and guess what? It was a life saver. Seriously. I put it on after walking around for about an hour. I made sure I brought it, because I know I'd need the support at least later on in the day, and I ended up wearing it sooner that I expected to. It not only immediately helped me with support for my back while walking, but I actually felt GOOD. It was almost as though this item was stretching my back as I walked. After being on my feet and walking most of the day (my daughter tells me close to 7 miles), my back felt fine - no sore, achy muscles. No fatigue. It is the best thing I've purchased in a long time as far as money to value!!

Good as a posture corrector for small framed people.
For the price, it is the most bang for the buck that I found. Well made and good quality components. Good design. I purchased it because I was having right shoulder pain, and when researching shoulder pain I consistently found Youtube videos from physical therapists that indicated a leading cause of shoulder pain is poor posture which throws off the alignment of all of your joints. They are correct, when I improve my posture, by pain is reduced. But retraining yourself to maintain a correct posture is not easy. That's where this device comes in. Looking at many of the negative reviews, you need to understand what this device is - it is to remind you that you are slouching and need to retrain your body to sit and stand straight with your shoulders back. It is not comfortable to wear - it is not supposed to be. It is supposed to introduce a small amount of discomfort to remind you that are slouching, and to reduce the discomfort when you correct your posture. I am wearing it for a few hours each day in attempt to retrain myself to stand upright and keep my shoulders back. I hope to achieve this before the device wears out. It will not force you into correct posture. It is a training aid, not a "brace". Also, it is for medium to small framed individuals. If you are very large framed or obese, this device will be too tight for you under any conditions. Look elsewhere for a larger version. In summary - a good device that makes it (mildly) more painful to slouch than to sit or stand up straight with correct posture. Good for re-training yourself after years of slouching. I'm glad I found it.

Design flaw ruins it for taller people
I had been trying to find a posture corrector like this for a while, that I could wear more frequently than the larger one I already have, which incorporates a belt that goes around the hips (but which is impractical for wearing while doing anything physical). Out of the dozens of different brands available I settled on the Truweo mostly because it had 2 features I wanted: a strap coupler that attached with velcro (so it could be positioned higher or lower as needed), and a long central back panel for it to connect to. My concern was that if the back panel was too short, the coupler would have to be attached too high, and the straps would dig into my armpits. The photos of the back panel in the listing showed it extending pretty far down the male model's back, so that with the coupler at the lowest position, the straps were horizontal and nowhere near his armpits. I should mention that I am tall, but slim; 6'2" and 170 lbs. There is no fat on me, nor am I all that muscular. I'm built similarly to the model shown. When I received the corrector I could immediately see that the back panel was nowhere near as long as the one depicted. It is 9" long in total (see the photo). My neck (which is 15-1/4" around) is about 5" wide at its narrowest, which means it's over half of the length of the back panel. I measured the width of the neck of the model in the photo with a ruler and compared it to the length of the back panel he's wearing. The length of the back panel is well OVER 3 TIMES the width of his neck. In other words, if his neck was the same width as mine (likely), the back panel would be at least 15" long, rather than the 9" it really is. That means that either the one they sent me is different from the one depicted, or the photo of the model has been manipulated to make it look bigger than it really is. Either way, it's deceptive. I'm very disappointed. Truweo's posture corrector COULD be a very good one, but with the back panel being so short, for taller people like me, it is guaranteed that the straps will dig into the wearer's armpits, no matter how it's adjusted. All Truweo would have to do to solve this problem is to make the back panel about 6" longer and this problem would be solved (although the back panel really needs some stiffening too). As it is, it's useless to me. I'm going to try to attach something myself to extend the length; it was a cheap enough purchase that experimenting to try to make it usable won't be that much of a risk of loss. But it does make me unhappy that some sellers on Amazon are so unconcerned with providing accurate information.

It actually does work, but only as part of a regime of changes
Since leaving school and starting work, I've been having some of the same issues as "normal folks", that is, a more sedentary lifestyle mainly because I sit on my butt at work all day. As a result, my posture has suffered with the dreaded nerd hunch. I've been looking for different things that can help, and then found this device. The construction of this thing is pretty simple. There's the main body of the brace that sits on your spine, with velcro adjustable stretch straps that you put around your shoulders. It is essentially a pair of backpack straps (but without the weight and bulk, of course). There's not a lot of things to go wrong with this device, and at least for the device that I got, nothing that sticks out as defective. The only thing I find annoying are the velcro straps themselves, because if you are unfortunately just the right size that these go under your arms, they can be pretty annoying to have to adjust to get comfortable. I'm thinking that if the velcro straps were adjusted from the top anchor point rather than the bottom, that would actually be more comfortable. This device does two things. First and most obviously, it pulls your shoulders back. Secondly, the spine brace exerts most of that force into the area around the C7 vertebra (the one that kind of sticks out a bit from the 'bottom of your neck' between your shoulders- you also use this vertebra as a measuring point when you're fitting yourself for hiking backpacks). So what happens is your shoulder pulls back into a more normal position and your head/upper back is straightened out a bit more. You have to remember to relax your shoulders once you're in this pose (the one thing the device doesn't really do), and then you'll have a very normal posture. Anecdotally, I always find my posture to be much improved after I've come back from a backcountry backpacking trip (and my posture suffered after I stopped wearing a backpack and going to the gym for several months after leaving school), so the idea of backpack style straps putting corrective tension around the shoulders and upper back makes sense to me. What I typically do is adjust the device so that when I stretch my shoulders all the way back, they're loose. This gives me a moderate amount of pull and makes the device pretty comfortable to wear, but it still does a very effective job both correcting my posture and reminding me to correct my posture. When I first got it, I started wearing it for the entire work day, but afterwards it can be more occasional once you notice an improvement for your posture. Fighting "the slouch" is going to be a lifelong battle, and this one device is not going to be the cure-all by itself. I've had to make more lifestyle changes in order to not slouch. The first is using this device, which definitely helps. The second involves the usual diet and exercise. The third is to remind yourself not to get into bad habit of slouching when you're not wearing the device. And the fourth is proper adjustment of seating and work space.
