Skills beyond belief!
This book I was fortunate enough to purchase at a stupid price, and for that I am most gratefulUnfortunately the actual art of Sugarcraft in Royal Icing seems to be on the demise, but for anyone interested in taking their interest further and away from fondant - which is amazing stuff in itself - the actual SKILL involved in producing this book is quite outstanding. Indeed even a dying art.To produce these models Lesley has given each and every detail thought, and the craftswomanship in the outcome of each of the cake models is amazing!To have this amount of skill to the average person is probably beyond most of us, but love the book, and will use it for extending my knowledge in the execution of cakes, and hopefully be received with as much pleasure as this book has given to myself.

Not for the amateur
This book is filled with wonderful royal icing techniques.It is clear and informative, but definitely for the more professional in the art of sugar craft.I am afraid I can only look at the pictures and dream.

Lovely book. Covers brush embroidery, wired flowers, Royal icing, runouts, bas relief, extension work, bridge work,coating, painting.Good designs as well. Detailed instructions.
