T-REX Waterproof Tape for Wet or Rough / Dirty Surfaces, 4 in x 5 Ft, Black

This tape has a very heavy and strong outer layer of plastic material, that has some of the strongest adhesive that I have experienced. The outer layer appears to be be very water resistant and should make an excellent water proofing or water leakage repair material. Examining the outer plastic body of the tape leads me to believe it will resist sun-related deterioration for an extended period of time. After applying the tape to a smooth surface, like PVC pipe, you will find it bonds so tightly that it is very difficult to remove, at least after setting up for a day or two. For an easy to use, water proof material designed to prevent water penetration or water leaks, this tape would be hard to beat. It would also be suitable to join smooth surfaced materials together, as this a very tough binding agent.

I use this for so many things and it always worked perfectly and easily lasts through the new england winters.

well, obviously as soon as it gets wet it does not work- bc its tape. "duh" . then i turned off the water, taped the pipes, turned the water back on and it leaks just the same. soooo it didn't work for me at all. kinda think duct tape would have been better.

The adhesive is very strong. I used it to repair a tear in a boat cover a few weeks ago. Not enough time has passed for me to judge accurately how waterproof it will be, although the tape looked quite sturdy. The product is fairly easy to use, but be careful handling it after removing the covering on the adhesive. I have not tried to remove it, so I can't answer questions about that. The adhesive, however, is extremely sticky, and I would be very careful to avoid creasing the material. My roll was 5 feet long, and that goes less far than one might think. (I put one strip on the top of the cover and another underneath it. Make sure you get enough.

This tape has a backing that must be removed for it to stick. No matter how patient you are or how hard you try the backing absolutely will not come off cleanly. The entire roll yielded a half dozen strips about 3-4 inches in length. Don't waste your money.

This stuff works amazing for my particular application. I have an air mattress and it got a few holes in it. I took a freshly sharpened pocket-knife and removed all the fuzz around each hole till it was shiny (meaning carefully rubbed the blade *very gently* against the mattress at a 45°angle to remove the vinyl fuzz till it looked like the bottom of the airmattress just shiny)[I did this while it was already inflated so that I could properly apply a small amount of pressure so that I did not damage it more/or make the hole bigger]. *Tip* be sure to make sure that you also make sure that you carefully get the entire area where the patch will be applied. I cleaned the area thoroughly with a huggies sensitive care baby wipe. While it was still slightly damp I cut an appropriately sized patch (follow the directions on the package). I made sure to press on the patch starting at the center and rubbing it firmly in place ensuring there were no veins and bubbles. I have never had any of the patches I put in place leak EVER. I swear by this stuff the key is to use it properly. There was like 5-7 steps but each step is to ensure you prime the area properly and you will never have to check it or re-apply it my husband has even spilled soda and such on these patches and not a single patch has ever given me an issue. Ps if you had the proper sandpaper gradients you would not need to use a sharp knife I just didn't have it on hand. These patches will even survive the roughest of love-making without an issue 🤗 lol. If your patch comes off you did one of two things 1 you did not remove enough fuzz or 2 you did not clean the area well enough after fuzz removal. Good luck and use it properly. If applied improperly it will NOT work.

What amount of tape you can actually get off of the roll is fantastic. The problem is that about half of the roll has a thin paper stuck to it that absolutely will not come off. So you can only use about half of the roll

Metí a lavar los pantalones a la lavadora, y uno traía un tornillo y agujeró el tambor de mi lavadora. Pensé que tendría que reemplazarla, pero se me ocurrió pedir un T-Rex. Mi esposo le puso en los 4 hoyos que se le hicieron, y lleva medio año funcionando súper bien, y los benditos parches NO SE LE HAN CAÍDO. Me encantó esta cinta!! Actualización a agosto de 2023. La cinta sigue en su lugar sin dañarse, ni moverse. No la hemos cambiado desde que publiqué la primera reseña y la lavadora se usa una o dos veces por semana.
