This is nothing more than overpriced American junk. There are better products with better functionality more suitable for the UK and which are cheaper. The device is equipped with NOAA. This system will automatically scan through 7 available weather (WX) band channels and locks onto the strongest weather channel to alert you of severe weather updates. Unfortunately NOAA is not operational in the UK!

For starters it doesn’t turn off, as instructed press band button for 2 secs (tried everything from 1-10sec). Our (not deaf dog) didn’t respond to the ‘ultra sonic dog whistle’ and looks like the emergency settings are for USA only, bought it because reviews said it was good, but certainly not worth £95 I paid IMO, refund started

An extremely well made unit which is light and has many useful functions. It charged from the mains very well but would not charge via the solar panel. It would slowly charge up other devices. The radio function was extremely poor. I returned the radio and bought a similar one for £18 - excellent radio reception and sound quality.

Produkt wirkt sehr durchdacht und ich denke im Notfall kann man sich wirklich darauf verlassen. Preis zwar relativ hoch ev. sinkt dieser aber falls es in Masse abgesetzt wird. Kaufen! Angeblich mit dem Besten Kurbel zu Strom Wirkungsgrad. Hatte zuvor ein anderes Produkt und bestätige, dass nur mehr die halbe Kurbelzeit notwendig ist. Eigentest 30 Minuten Kurbeln = 2% Akkuladung Smartphone (billig Produkt 60 Minuten notwendig)

good sturdy unit, charged an e-book well. Picked up distant AM radio stations (none are close by). Weather broadcasts were picked up. Light modes worked. Don't know if the dog whistle works (beyond human hearing) and we don't have a dog.

We have only had this unit a couple of months, but it seems good. The radio gets good reception, and the crank does a good job charging. We are going to keep this in our grab bag, as opposed to using it everyday.

A great radio, works perfectly, compact. Tri- power ( hand crank, USB and 6x AA batteries). Will recharge your cell phone through the USB output. Read the manual and learn how it works because it’s chock full of features! I bought the SOCO Hard shell carrying/storage case at the same time and I highly recommend it.
