Brand new and defective
This is what I believe to be a brand new alternator.On the Honda its a quick in and out.After installing and adding a new serpentine belt,I hooked the Ground cable back to the battery and thats when all of the factory installed smoke came out.I only have1 car. so Im stuck till Amazon shows up tomorrow.

It works and appears to be well made.
This product appears to be well made. It fit with relative ease into a 2007 Honda CRV. I say "relative" ease because there is literally no room to work in the 4 cylinder CRV engine bay. Some of the bolts are hidden and tough to access. Prior to this installation, the battery light was on and the radio would not turn on. Had to jump it to start it even though there was a new battery in it. After installation, the battery light was off and the radio works again. Longevity? We'll see. Happy thus far with the purchase.
