Digital Photography
I have just in the last couple of years returned to photography. I last spent time shooting back in the 80's so cameras have changed a lot. I now have a DSLR. This book is helping a great deal in my learning to shoot better photos and it shows. People are noticing the difference on my nature blog.

Great resource for teachers!
Our Conservation District office was hosting a Digital Nature Photography workshop for teachers to coincide with an outdoor classroom project. A local photographer was the speaker and I asked him about using this book as a resource for those who would be attending. He liked it and we bought one for each of the teachers who have given positive feedback about the book---great pictures and useful information. Would look to this author for future resources!

Great insperation
This book was great in helping me go out and experiment with other settings and angles in taking landscape picturesI gave 4 stars because a beginner will not understand some of the terms used in the book.I would recommend this book to any photographer who needs to be inspired to try different things when taking landscape pictures.

Much more basic than I expected
This wouldn't be a bad book for beginners, but it doesn't have the detailed information I was expecting. If you already know about selecting a decent tripod, white balance, and the rule of thirds (and similar basics) then you can throw over half the book away unread, as you'll learn nothing new.The remainder was decent advice, but nothing near as "magic" as I'd expected from the description. Next time I'll stick to Michael Freeman or Bryan Peterson, who pack much more useful information into the same page count.
