Chi-Fi at its finest, this rivals McIntosh amplifiers 3 - 4 X its cost.
arrived much sooner than promised. Really nice tube amplifier, I gave it to my tech to check out before I started using it, he examined it and began burning in the tubes to check to see if it would continue to operate as it should as it breaks in, all went well so he turned it back over to me. I have been playing it nonstop since, I believe tubes need a hundred hours or so of signal to really break them in enough to make a valid evaluation and so far this thing sounds and looks as good as it could, rivaling amplifiers 3X its cost. To me, at this point, this is the deal of the century. Packed in abuse-proof packaging, this baby really is good value for money. Will be seeing how it works over time but my tech assured me it looks to be made of high quality components, all clearly marked and not cheap crap, and said if any problems develop, short of losing a transformer or something, this amp is very repairable but looks to not be needing any work anytime soon. Might try tube rolling especially the first stage tubes, but for now am completely happy with the performance and looks of this beast.

EXCELLENT Quality and Sound
Amazing quality and sound. Knobs and switches are super high quality and feel great, especially the volume knob. I use ultra linear mode for fast transient or bass heavy music. I donโt have great ears, but my golden-eared wife says ultra linear mode has better instrument separation while triode mode gels everything together. Tube biasing is super easy to do. I donโt have much need for balanced input though I do have balanced cables so I am using them anyway but I have no clue if it makes any difference. Similar models have a subwoofer output and I almost wish I would have chosen one of them, but I chose the A88 for its looks. It does look amazing in person and is much bigger and heavier than I expected, so do make sure that it will fit in your setup. Another useful feature is the โmain inโ input which you can use to incorporate this amp into your home theater system. My only two complains are that the VU needles are a little hard to see against the black background, and the knob indicators are also hard to see or feel in low light. Would have been great to have a little notch or something tactile to feel where the knobs are turned to for input selector and volume. Would be great to have a clearer visual cue as well, either a darker marking or better yet an LED that you can see even in the dark.

Shipping greatโฆ.Amp not so much.
Shippping was way faster than they said it would be so that was great - 5 stars for quick shipping. The 3 stars are for the amp itself. While it is beautifully crafted and the quality of workmanship is excellent, the amp just didnโt sound good to me. I had it 11 days and gave the KT88 tubes plenty of time to gently break-in. The sound out of the box was horrible. By day 10 it had gotten much better but still not what I am looking for. Sound stage was nice and wide. The bass was just fine, really good even, but the mids were awful (to my ear anywat). Snare drums sounded like the drummer was hitting a cardboard box instead of a drum. Vocals were sharp and unpleasant. Now before you think it may have been my speakers, I have had my Zu Soul Superflys for 15 years. I have been running a ST-70 clone (joe Curcio upgrades) for the past 10 years and the speakers sounded awesome. Shame on me for selling my ST-70. I fell for a couple of positive on-line reviews of the Oilily A88 MK. At any rate Iโve returned the unit and continue my search for a new amp. Iโm tempted to try the Oilily 300B amp but am also considering the Advance Paris A12 Classic.

Sound
Tube based class AB amplification, at this price point, beats class A tube amps for usability over a broad range of music styles and recordings. This amp is switchable from triode to linear mode. Triode mode is closer to class A circuitry, the linear mode is linear tube class AB sound. It responds quicker to voltage variations in dynamic music, so the peaks are reproduced with the recorded edges being right there. Think Ramones vs Coltrane. Coltrane's Love Supreme needs a slower and more rounded output, using triode mode. Ramones sound better on linear, edgy, not round. This is better than it costs and customer service is great

Oilily A88MK
Going into my third week with the Oilily A88MK and I must say it does not disappoint. Great sound, great separation and great detail. I have owned some really good audio equipment (for me at least) like Peachtree and Yamaha, and I would take the Oilily hands down. You must know that I am 67 years old, so I grew up in the tube era, and I love that sound. So if you are into that kind of sound you can't go wrong with this integrated amplifier. Happy ears, happy years. Ernie

The sound quality is amazing, the experience is excellent!
The sound quality is amazing, the experience is excellent, and it's well worth getting! It has been a few days since I received this A88 gallows, as a lover of music sound quality, I can't wait to experience it, and now I'm here to share my true feelings. Appearance and design After opening the package, I was pleasantly surprised by the exquisite appearance of the A88. The whole body adopts a simple and retro design, especially the slight warm light after lighting up the bilevel tube, which gives people a sense of ceremony. The damping of each knob is just right, the adjustment is smooth, and the material of the body is solid, holding in the hand a sense of full weight, the texture pulls full. Audio Performance After connecting my stereo, I first sampled a familiar jazz album. The moment the music started, I was really blown away. Compared to the purely digital amplifier I used before, the sound of this gallows is much fuller and layered. The treble is translucent, the midrange is very thick, and the vocals, in particular, are warm and real, as if the singer were standing in front of them. Bass dive deep, but not muddy, especially suitable for listening to some music with clear bass line, such as classical and rock. After trying several sources, the performance was consistent. Whether playing through my CD player or streaming directly, the A88 reproduced musical details well, giving me a new feel for many old songs I've heard countless times. Operation and Experience For a gutsy machine, the A88 is surprisingly easy to operate. The wiring is intuitive, and novices don't have to worry about getting it wrong at all. I didn't encounter any difficulties during the commissioning process, and the manual is very clear, with all the functions at a glance. Operation There is a short warm-up process after powering on the gallows, which I think is very humanized, because the characteristic of gallows is that it needs time to reach the best state. During operation, the temperature of the body rises very slowly, the heat dissipation is excellent, and you don't have to worry about overheating at all when using it. Price-performance ratio and summary The A88 really exceeded my expectations for a gallows at this price point. From the sound quality to the appearance to the operation experience, all of them make me feel that the value for money. It not only let me feel the charm of music again, but also provided a perfect solution to upgrade my equipment. For those who like high quality music, this gallows is definitely worth a try. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase, both in terms of sound quality and design, which makes me feel that I have gotten my money's worth. Recommended to everyone who loves music!
