Definitely a good read glad I took the time to read….. only wish I knew if White Folks & old Blue were real people

This is the first book that I've read to its completion in over 20 years. I must say, I've really enjoyed the mental stimulus that I experienced as I journeyed through these pages.

I did not expect this title to be as good as Pimp but the story of Johnny O’Brien is without a doubt a must-read!

I gifted this and they were so happy

Whoreson was better but this was equally enjoyable for me. I like the lifestyle of pimps it interests me.

Good read. Slang dictionary provided in rear of book for anyone unfamiliar with the slang.

Great story, it starts off a little slow and lags in some portions but I enjoyed the read and there is one chapter called "Haters" that is simply powerful. This book is good because it situates the story within a racial and economic context and per usual Slim's analysis of human behavior is refreshingly spot on and raw. I recommend it!

Meh, not as good as pimp. Most of the stories sound like BS.
