My husband used this product when we first met. It had scrumptious, intoxicating smell. I was excited about getting him this as we can no longer can find it in stores. His birthday was July 10th. so I ordered this as a gift for him. He opened it ON his special day and put a dab on his hand. WOW..it had a horrible stench to it!!! It smelled rancid!!! The consistency was NOT like a balm OR a moisturizer. It was like water! I went on line to send it back this AM and found out it is NOT returnable. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT THIS WAS!!! It was no fault of ours that this company sold an 'outdated' product that smelled NOTHING like it used to. It had a EXTREMELY putrid odor. It must have been on their shelf for the last 30 years and this is WHY the consistency and the smell were WAY off! The company themselves must have posted the good reviews. Good it was not! Do NOT trust in these reviews.

Still the same great fragrance
The distributor of my original purchase is gone so I can't review my The Baron by LTL on that purchase so I improvise.A friend's father used this alll the time and I thought it always smelled clean and fresh. It was sold by Eveyan Perfumes. They had a store on the Madison Avenue side of the Roosevelt hotel in NYC. It seems Eveyan went out of bussiness and sold the formula to LTL Fragrances which keeps the traditiona scentl. Sidenote - Eveyan also made a perfume "White Shoulders" which my Mom used. It was always my favorite of all her perfumes.
