I use this water distiller for my CPAP and humidifiers, and let me just say: this machine is a game-changer. Does it leave a bit of a smell when in use? Yes. Does it leave behind some residue? Also yes. Do I care? Been using this to distill water for my fussy houseplants. I distill several gallons at a time. It works great, cleans out easily. I do wish there was a little ridge or handle for getting the top off. That can be tricky. For cleaning, I just sprinkle a little of the cleaning powder on the wet bottom (I'll add a couple tablespoons of water just to coat it) and let it sit. The residue comes off easily.

Have had mine for two years. Frequent problems with leaks. I thought that I solved the problem, but no. The leaks are coming from the still. New seal may be a temp fix, but the damage to the tile counter is several hundred dollars. This is going to the garbage dump.

This is a workhorse. We have used it daily for the last couple years, sometimes twice a day to make water for the coffee maker, for making soup, and drinking water needs. It has been a good unit, and easy to clean out if you forget to shut it off before it uses up all the water. A little vinegar and its good as new. We have had no troubles with it, and will gladly buy another when it no longer works.

Great for distilled water. We’re on a well so we don’t get soluable chemicals now.
