This Le Creuset Stainless Steel Steamer has a graduated base to work with their 16cm, 18cm or 20cm saucepans. It has a generous capacity so will easily accommodate a few different food/vegetable items in one steam. The glass lid has a small steam release hole. Once the water has boiled and reduced to a simmer, it will typically take around 6-8 minutes to nicely cook a range of mixed vegetables, whilst retaining their flavour and texture. The steamer base is also of sufficient size to steam reheat a meal and works very well for warming through cooked/roasted meat without any drying out. Stainless steel is more difficult to clean when washing up manually but avoids the plastics in non-stick products. Baking soda or a propriety stainless steel cleaner will remove any stubborn marks. If using a dishwasher, the entire Le Creuset 3 ply stainless steel range cleans brilliantly.

An excellent, sturdy multi-steamer that works across your 3-ply pan set - fitting pan sizes of 16-20cm in diameter. This is a really useful companion to the fixed size 20cm steamer, that works with 20cm saucepans/casseroles/stockpots (or the 24cm equivalent). At busy times like Christmas, when you're steaming multiple vegetables at once, having both of these to stack, or use on separate rings is real time saver. Although these are made for the Le Creuset 3-ply Stainless Steel Pan range, I expect they can also be used with other manufacturer's ranges - but that would need to be checked independently by a prospective buyer.

As you would expect, this is a well made item and should be good for many years.

Possédant déjà une cocotte Staub en fonte avec panier vapeur intégré ( et amovible) mais qui met du temps pour la cuisson vapeur car elle a un grand volume (5,2 L dont je me sers pour toute la famille), j'ai voulu quelque chose de plus rapide pour les repas pour mon fils et ma fille qui sont au collège et qui n'ont pas beaucoup de temps pour manger le midi.... Le panier vapeur Le Creuset est idéal pour cela car il peut s'accorder sur 3 dimensions différentes. Personnellement j'ai choisi une casserole d'un diamètre de 20 cms en inox (voir la vidéo et photos) mais elle s'accorde également avec une cocotte Le creuset rouge de 20 cms de diamètre que je possédais déjà. Autre point positif c'est qu'il est de bonne qualité niveau inox et qu'il se range du coup facilement (comme une passoire) dans les placards car il n'a pas de poignée mais un petit rebord qui permet de le l'ajuster correctement sur une casserole.... Cependant attention ⚠ lorsque vous l utiliser et qu'il est chaud, prévoyez des gants de cuisine ou un torchon car vous risquez de vous brûler ! Je l ai testé aujourd'hui pour des brocolis frais et du colin surgelé et les temps de cuisson recommandé ont été respectés. Le prix est plus élevé que les concurrents pour le même type de produit mais quand on veut la qualité et que ça dure dans le temps il faut faire des choix.... personnellement je ne possède ni micro-ondes (très mauvais pour la santé !!!) ni poêles ou casseroles anti-adhésives qui ne sont pas moins nocives. J'ai un four et des cocottes, tajines, casseroles en fonte ou en inox et pour ma part il n y a pas mieux 😉

Very pleased with this insert. I also own the stainless steel pots set and did't want to scratch the bottom of my pots with a traditional steamer insert. This thing is great! It fits in all 4 of my pots, all different sizes! The only thing I have noticed is that if something has been steaming for a while, the lip around the top starts to drip water, but what do you expect after steaming something for 40 minutes? There is a hole in the lid that works perfect for light steaming, but when there is alot of steam in the pot, it just can't keep up. Not an issue for me, it's still 5 stars in my eyes. In all, I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it.

Ich habe mittlerweile viele Produkte von Le Creuset erworben. Teuer aber die Qualität ist wirklich super. Auch bei diesem Produkt kann ich nur eine absolute Kaufempfehlung aussprechen. Es ist sehr praktisch und passt super auf den Topf mit Durchmesser 20cm.
