My employer runs on Zoom Workplace, and I work from home. AFAIK, you can use all of the features of Zoom Workplace from the Zoom desktop app or from a standard web browser, and you can also operate some aspects of Zoom Workplace via a smartphone app -- but I decided to purchase this device after missing an important Zoom voice call. Ease of Use - It is much easier to respond to an inbound call by picking up physical handset than it is to: unlock my computer screen, put-on headphones, and surface the Zoom app. This is the primary reason I purchased the phone, and it has solved that problem completely. While I only expected to use this device for Zoom Phone service, it also does a fine job of accepting Zoom video calls or joining Zoom meetings in a voice-only capacity. It connects to your (Zoom) company contact list and Zoom calendar, making it easy to call colleagues. It provides a second screen which wakes itself up and reminds you of upcoming Zoom meetings, which is also helpful. Admin / Maintenance - If you've used Yealink VOIP devices before, this one is exactly the same -- until you log-in to Zoom, at which point Yealink delegates some control to your company Zoom administrator and locks-out the ability to configure your own phone via a local web browser. The device is maintained by updating the Zoom app (which you can do from the touchscreen while logged-on and registered w/Zoom as a normal user) and by updating the Yealink firmware (I haven't done that but expect it would be the same as flashing any other Yealink phone). Teams vs Zoom - I purchased the Microsoft Teams version of this phone, and followed instructions from Yealink to flash it over to the Zoom firmware. AFAIK the only physical difference between the Teams version and the Zoom version is a branded button on the phone keypad, so my Zoom phone has a Microsoft Teams button on it. Zoom-Only - the phone is 100% dedicated to Zoom workplace (or Microsoft Teams). You can't provision additional lines to connect with other VOIP providers.

Phone works well. Registers with Teams and provides good call quality.

It's ok I guess for Teams/sip but I still think it's annoying to set up. I just want to manage these from an admin console instead of doing a dance with authentication locally on the phone. There should be more physical buttons that can work with Teams PTSN scenarios. I want my favorites to be on the main screen... That is actually more of a failure by Microsoft, but still, let's get these functions and features figured out already.

Phone failed less than 2 months after purchasing. Amazon accepted a return but charged me 20% restocking fee. Update, I ordered a new phone and the same issue was happening to the new phone. Black screen with blinking speaker, teams, mic and headset buttons. So I checked the power supply which was also blinking. I ordered a new power cord and the phone is working now. This could be solved if Yealink would just supply the phone with a power adapter. The type c-cord and ethernet cords did not work to supply power. So in order for it work I had to purchase an additional power adapter.
