It went together easily. I used the basket for wings and they came out very well. I had no problem winding the motor just need a good pair of BBQ gloves. The basket was fairly easy to clean without a dishwasher.

Good for vegetables and great for hotdogs and frys

It was packaged well and it went together easily. It fit my smallish Pit Boss Pro smoker perfectly and worked as advertised. It is rather tedious to wind the spring motor so after several usages, I cut off part of the winding crank tool and installed it in my battery powered drill chuck. I set the drill to 8 inchpounds torque slip setting and now winding is MUCH easier. I load up the basket with 3 to 4 pounds of food (chicken legs, BB Ribs, etc.) and add sprigs of fresh rosemary, fresh garlic cloves, and grape tomatoes, etc. , and let her tumble. Yum. Cleaning basket is a challenge, but that would be true regardless of the brand. First attempt at roasting green coffee beans was so so; the equipment worked fine but I got distracted and let them over-roast. Come on Bob, don't get distracted by shiny distractions!

Dropped in the firebox. Best chicken thighs ever. See below vid. Only concern is the coals turned the metal blue but no warping. I’m going to pretend it isn’t a problem because this thing is to awesome for me to care. Can’t wait to use it to roast chilies

Combine the basket version with a mini Kamado style grill (and add a baffle) and voila you have a unit capable of roasting green coffee in half pound batches. The Roto Q is well built, simple to operate, cleans up nicely and while not necessarily intended for this purpose fills the bill nicely Just wind it up and it’s ready to go

After several uses, perfectly pleased. 1 hr run time is adequate for anything appropriate in size to cook including a whole fryer. The skewers could be better-only two prongs not four. I am tying the legs and wings. Would repurchase.

Cleaning- Basically the product does work, and yeah it's "dishwasher safe" BUT I doubt anyone would put the basket into a dishwasher without thoroughly cleaning it first. Just like you would clean your grill grate. I did wings with an olive oil and BBQ rub and had to take it outside to clean and not in the dishwasher. So just be aware

Can’t out as many in there as we thought -so we went back to just flipping. Cleaning is ok but you have to take off parts to clean. Probably would purchase
