This hardwire kit does exactly what it’s supposed to do and makes installing a VIOFO dash cam much cleaner and more professional. The biggest advantage is that it provides constant power without needing to use the cigarette lighter port. Once installed, the dash cam turns on and off automatically with the car, and parking mode works exactly as intended. The Type-C connection feels solid and modern, and compatibility with multiple VIOFO models is a big plus. I really appreciate that it comes with a full set of fuse taps. That saves time and extra purchases, especially if you’re not sure which fuse type your vehicle uses. The wiring quality feels good, and the voltage protection gives peace of mind that it won’t drain the car battery. Installation itself is straightforward if you’re comfortable accessing the fuse box. For someone with zero experience, it may take a bit of time or require watching a guide, but that’s expected with any hardwire kit and not a flaw of the product.
