SMALLRIG Thumb Grip with Hot Shoe Cover for FUJIFILM X-M5 (Silver) - 4877B

I can state how much this grip transformed the handling of my Fujifilm XM5 camera. I wanted to keep the camera as small as possible so did not want to add a grip but this give my thumb somewhere to rest. Excellent product.

Another great purchase from SMALLRIG. If you have the X-M5 you should just buy this and see it for yourself. Makes holding the camera much more comfortable!

I get the issues raised by the other reviewers: + it is a tight fit in the hot shoe rails - but it needs to be if you want a tight grip on the camera + It obscures the Quick "Q" button from an easy reach - but then it (1) keeps clear of the AF lock and command dials on the back and (2) I use it to hold one handed once I have set up the shot, so it does't bother me. + it makes ot harder to slip this into a pocket - but the reason we need a thumb grip is because the finger grip on the front right of the camera is too shallow to give a confident hold on the FUJIFILM X-M5 whithout a thumb grip. I like it: I can shoot one handed with what is a tiny lightweight camera and hold an octabox strobe in the left hand for off-camera lighting. Without this the camera grip is just too small. If you don't like this design - then instead build up the front finger grip on the camera with the "SMALLRIG X-M5 Handgrip L-Shape Grip." which comes in black or silver. Amazon UK sells it for just under £37 OVERALL - I like this - and would be happy to get it again. Store Service? This Smallrig Thumb Grip is so useful as an attachment to a camera as it enables you to take photos or films a lot easier.

Very nice and minimalist design. This grip has made the xm5 a lot easier to hold and it also helps with stability.

Fits the camera and and the soft touch button is great. Feels premium and matches the camera aesthetics. Perfect accessory for Fujifilm XM-5. Though note that q (quick menu) gets hidden a bit not too bad.

Very helpful little Thumb Grip. It helps to steady the camera. An additional benefit is that you can slide the Thumb Grip into the front of your shirt, etc and stabilize the camera on a sling to the front of your body and keep it from swinging around. Very well made, although I had to modify it a to install on my camera.

This thumb grip is well-made with solid build quality and fits perfectly. The added shutter button is a nice touch for easier shooting. However, if you already have an L-grip on your camera, this feels a bit redundant unless you really need extra grip. For the price, it’s a good add-on, but not a must-have.
