Spacious, Durable, and Easy to Set Up — Perfect Rooftop Tent for Comfortable Camping!
Absolutely love this rooftop tent! The San Hima Jervis Loft is spacious, well-ventilated, and incredibly sturdy. Setup is fast and easy, and the aluminum ABS hard shell holds up great against wind and rain. The interior comfortably fits 2 adults with room to spare, and the quilted mattress is surprisingly comfy. I really appreciate the thoughtful design—4 windows for airflow and an AC duct hole for summer trips. Fits perfectly on my SUV and looks sleek. Ideal for road trips, overlanding, and weekend getaways. If you’re serious about camping in comfort, this tent is worth every penny!

Love it!
This product is high quality for the price. Recommend it highly. Comfortable to sleep. Easy assembly and great delivery. Very durable especially to the weather. This item is heavy, but for quality reasons. The size is perfect for those that enjoy the rougher off road with sleep comfort.

Great for the get up and go type! Convenient and comfortable!
Great purchase! A rooftop tent makes camping convenient and easy. This tent is great! I only have a few issues with it. Let’s start with the positive: 1. It is quick and easy to set up and take down. 2. I love the led light that it comes with, it is convenient and lights up the interior well. 3. The mattress is super comfortable! I was expecting to feel like I was sleeping on the hard plastic, but it holds my weight well and I slept on it better than in my own bed! I also love that it has a water resistant cover, I have a young son, and if he by chance has an accident it, spilling a water bottle or wetting the bed, I don’t have to worry. 4. It was decently easy to install. 5. The material seems strong and it keeps a good amount of light out, I need dark to sleep and this gives it to you. 6. It is long enough for my tall frame. I am 6’1” and I fit very comfortably in it. 7. I love that you can get in and out on either side. 8. Seems sturdy and constructed well, I definitely don’t feel like it is going to fall apart while I am in it. 9. It’s got enough room inside it to store your sleeping bags and blankets. So that gives you a little more space in your trunk. Cons: 1. It’s pretty heavy so you definitely need two to get in on and off safely. 2. I wish it had the flat top design so you can add an additional rack on top. 3. The tent supports take up space inside the tent so you lose some head room when you try to sleep more than one person inside it. 4. It is not designed for long off road trips in mind. Because it is so heavy it will destroy your roof rack if you go off-roading with it for an extended period of time. This is more of a con on roof racks though. They need to figure out how to make them strong and more durable. 5. I wish there was a better way to set up the entrance of the tent, the poles that it comes with do not like to stay in place if there is any amount of wind. The hook and eye method just doesn’t cut it, either the pole is too short or I am just installing it way wrong. 6. The doors do not have light filters, they are strictly screens. I understand to a degree as to why they would design it this way, as the material is water and weather resistant and they want to ensure you can get fresh air into the tent, but there has to be a better design that can allow for greater privacy without having to drop the door covers. I don’t want to have to pull the entrance poles in and out every time I want to go to bed or get out of the tent in the morning just to make it darker or give myself some extra privacy. The windows have good covers why can’t the doors. 7. The ladder is a little annoying to install. Maybe I just don’t know the trick, but so far it’s been the most annoying part of the process along with the poles that hold the door fly up. 8. Lastly, there needs to be a way to keep the tent straps/pulls/grips that you use to close the tent from blowing in the wind. I have used the tie downs to tie them down, but that is a pain and there isn’t a lot to really use. Beware that if it is windy you are going to have to listen to these straps bang against the tent all night long. I think there are a few solutions that can be made for this, but if you forget or the wind is strong enough plan to bring earplugs. Overall, I love this tent despite its flaws. I definitely recommend it for the person who is constantly camping and hiking. It is convenient, comfortable and in my opinion worth the money.

No way to keep heat in.
There are no doors.... there's a mesh screen but nothing to keep rain out and heat in. design flaw. shell is tough. with it had metal buckles to secure it closed. Mattress was comfy.

Best decision I have made!
I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and have zero remorse buying it. I have it mounted on top of my 2024 Subaru Forester and it is very stable, even when moving inside the tent. My comfort levels have vastly increased due to the safety of being so high above the ground and not having to worry about anyone breaking into your car as you would feel it. I purchased a twinggel mattress pad and it was game over. Fit PERFECTLY! I can be in and out of the camp in less than 2 minutes. If you are having any doubts about rooftop tents, they will immediately cease once you use it.

False advertising in the pictures
Update 4/28/25: the seller reached out to me on their own and fixed most of the problems in my original review. They updated the pictures within 48 hours of this review, which is really impressive. I’ve updated this review to 4 stars. The tent is okay at this price point. The packaging was terrible. As in, it was all torn apart upon delivery and even the Amazon delivery picture shows the box torn apart. The ABS cover was scratched up on arrival because the box was in such bad shape. Just moving it 50 yards with a dolly had the rest of the box fall apart. Got it mounted, which took my wife and I about 3 hours. We have a lifted vehicle but getting it on the rack was the easy part. The tent sits extremely low on the crossbars so all the other things had to come off and you will not be able to mount an awning (or anything else) under the tent. It’s too low. Getting the brackets lined up and tightened was extremely difficult because there is such little space for hands to fit. We ended up having to install the front side through the open moon roof and even then my hands didn’t fit. My wife has much smaller hands and she was able to get it done. The fabric is okay but not lined like the item description says. Plenty of light comes through the walls. The mattress is really hard and not super comfortable. Some of the weather sealing is already coming undone on the inside and I’ve only slept one night in it. The awning doors on either side cannot really be closed. They can only be held in place by loops on the corners. This makes the tent really drafty and I have no idea how it would hold up against wind when you’re cold at night. Even though there is an opening for a heater or AC I imagine this tent to be extremely cold in winter because there is constant air movement since you can’t actually close the doors. I’m 6’1” and I fit inside okay. Any taller and you’ll have issues. You can store plenty of blankets and pillows inside. Speaking off, definitely store pillows inside. The ladder hooks tore the foam on the inside of the roof during transit. You’ll want to protect that.

Take some time to get used to closing it up as one side is always harder to reach, but the inner space is good and spacy. nice tent to have!!!

This tent exceeded expectations! Survived two nights of heavy rain and strong winds without a single leak—stayed bone-dry and stable. Setup and takedown were a breeze, and the design details (like sturdy zippers and reinforced seams) show serious thoughtfulness. Shipping was seamless, and installation took minutes.

the real tent looks better than the image, and it feel and look solid and good quality.
