Ok so first thing to mention which will be the most important thing I guess. The lights are weatherproof, the battery box most definitely is not. You can quite happily do what you want with the lights, but the battery box needs to stay indoors, and for what it's worth your average alkaline battery won't like the cold anyway. The cable is thin enough that you should be able to quite happily run it out a window, or through a letter box however without too much trouble.As for the lights themselves, they're really bright considering their powered by AA's. I can't say how long they'll last since the Christmas decorations aren't properly up yet, but I have a similar set of lights already and those have done 2 Christmas' on one set of batteries, and with any luck when I get them down from the loft be good to manage a 3rd so I expect these to last as well. LED's really don't draw a lot of power. What is nice is that these are just cheap and simple, no remotes, no apps, no messing about finding a power socket.So if you want to decorate your work desk, go for it.Throw them up in your van? Dead easy.Drape them over the mantle piece? Doddle.Dress in green and wrap them around yourself and pretend you're a Christmas tree for fancy dress? NO. That's my fancy dress idea go get your own!

These lights are operated using 3 x AA batteries so they are portable and can be used anywhere around the house. They produce a lovely warm white light. We are currently using them as a feature in my daughters bedroom around her reading corner and she loves them.

Great set of warm lights for your Christmas tree garland or any where in your house or garden I'll be using this set next year for my gazebo nice and cosy sitting underneath on a summersummer night.

I like these lights as the bulbs are really small and inline with the wire. You can, apparently, use them outdoors as well as indoors. If you are intending to do that, make sure you have some way of protecting the battery pack from the elements. There is a good range of colour and mode with the lights and they do look lovely. It's handy having a timer function with them as it's one less set of lights I have to turn off at bedtime during Christmas.There are a couple of things I don't particularly like. The first is the remote control - I am the proud(?) possessor of about 50 different little remote controls for lights. I find they go walking when you turn your back and all get mixed up so really they are more of a hinderance than a help. The second thing is that I would happily pay the same (£5.99 at time of purchase) for the same number of lights on a shorter wire. In my opinion, the lights are spaced just a little too far apart. So to get the effect I like, I have to double up the wire and then it all gets a bit messy. If you are doubling your wire to get twice as many lights in an 8ft length, can I suggest you wind the wire together, starting from the middle point. That way the lights will sit better and the wire won't turn into a maddening tangle.

I like this thin wire of led fairy lights. It has small delicate and tiny lights. I like its different modes and colours especially the flashing mode. One pack is enough for decorating the while Christmas tree. I ordered 2 of these coils for decorating my christmas tree. It has no remote control. It is value for money and I like it.

These are 16 ft blue lights with a timer.They are not mains operated but are operated by 3 aa batteries.They look great in the glass jar I got them for. I am very happy with them.

These fairy lights look amazing in my uni room!The colours are vibrant and really brighten up the space. I love the twinkle mode, which adds a nice touch to the otherwise basic lights, but I haven’t quite figured out the timer function yet. They seem to turn off automatically after a couple of hours, which is convenient but a bit confusing since I’m not sure how to control them just yet.Otherwise, they were easy to put up and set up - just pop 3 batteries in and switch the lights on!Overall, they’re a great addition, and I’d recommend them to anyone looking for affordable, colorful lights to decorate their room!

You can't beat some decorative fairy lights, especially when using them as a prop for photography, like I do. These lights have an abundance of LEDs on the strip, but to be honest, I don't see much difference between these and any other set of fairy lights I've used. If anything, the battery case that powers this set is unnecessarily huge. It needs 3 AA batteries, and if you're trying to keep that discreet, good luck.Speaking of the batteries, I initially used 2800mAh batteries, and they wouldn't light up. I then tried 2300mAh, and that didn't work either. It wasn't until I dropped three 700mAh batteries that they started working. It's ridiculous to go with such a large battery case—especially when all my other LED lights run perfectly on a single coin battery.That said, I had fun shooting these lights with other items in the house and got some nice effects for my photos. So, on that basis alone, I'll give it four stars.

these are the best fairy lights with bright colors. i have one in every room in the house either along a mantle or dresser or in a jar. i am getting more as gifts.

Die Lichter haben eine schöne warme Farbe und flackern nicht. Auf den Blink-Modus könnte ich verzichten. Die 5 Meter sind eine ideale Länge für unser Wohnzimmerfenster. Man braucht 3x AAA Batterien. Die sind leider nicht dabei, was man aber auch für nur 6 € nicht erwarten darf. für mich ein supergünstiges tolles Produkt!

Les lumières sont bien bleues mais c est pas reluisant. Et le fil couleur cuivre est très bof.

I thought the lights were not green however they were and the work great I am ordering another one.
