Leatherman 850011 Mut Multi-Tool, Stainless Steel

I have owned/used virtually every multi-tool out there and this one tops them all. The knife blade is the best I've ever seen, the saw is great, the pliers are rock solid and screwdriver bits that reside on the tool work great. I'll be buying another to keep with my hunting gear, and maybe another to keep in a spare toolbox. I LOVE this tool.

A must have item, it does just about anything you ask of it. Leatherman is a great company, made in the good ole U.S. of A. and that is rare as hen's teeth. Added to my range kit and won't leave home without it. Excellent price too, $50.00 cheaper then local stores and no sales tax. great item

i think this is my 5th Leatherman MUT.. Gave a few to my BFFs. 'Good for EDC and firearm maintainance.

The Leatherman Mut Multi-Tool is an excellent multi-tool for the shooter, especially one who uses the M-4 platform. I have the one that is pictured so this review concerns that one and not the EOD model designed with a blasting cap crimper and C-4 punch.This tool is built like a tank! Solid does not even begin to describe it.Many of the components such as the wire cutters, punch, carbon scraper and cord cutter are replaceable. The knife blade is the best I have seen on any multi-tool...very sharp and heavy.The tool comes with a 3/8 and 1/2 wrench that fits in the sheath. That is an excellent idea for shooters who often have optics or other add-ons that require these sizes.The punch is designed to be used while on the tool, or detached to remove take down pins.The bronze carbon scraper works extremely well to remove carbon deposits even inside the bolt carrier, and it will not damage the metal that you are attempting to get the carbon off of.The bits fit snugly into the bit driver and you can purchase an additional bit driver kit, but with the included philips, straight and hex bits that come with it, you can do pretty much anything you need to on an M-4If you do not want to use the sheath the tool has a pocket clip and a snap clip to attach the tool wherever it will be handy. Although this is a heavy tool, carrying it clipped to a pocket is not bad while wearing ACU/BDU or jeans.Overall this is a great tool designed for Soldiers and those who are firearms enthusiasts. I have been using this for about a month and I am extremely happy. My favorite all around multi-tool is still the SwissTool from Victorinox, but this is my go to tool when I know I am going to be shooting.

great tool, I combined with the 21 piece bit kit....i can emergency repair anything and it all fits in the stock case. It is a little big but fits under the seat of my motorcycle and ATV, brilliantly. I can't wait for hunting season

Amazing product.So much room in shieth for addition bit case, flashlight and whistle.Looking forward to field testing.

*Great* knife and the electrical tools are really good.Two big downsides to this:1) Heavy - Very. That's kinda nice in that it feels substantial and it does make a good hammer :-) but of course you don't want to keep it in your pocket all the time.2) No scissors. I was unsure of whether I'd be ok with that but unfortunately I really miss them from my Wave.Honestly, give the opportunity to redo this purchase, I'd go with a Black Oxide Wave, but since I've got it now, I'll keep it.
