Air Dry Clay Terracotta

I've never used this clay before and bought it since it's what my beginner sculpting class teacher recommends and I like it much better than Das airdry clay because it's softer and easier on the hands. The quality is amazing and because it's softer than the brand I usually get I did leech it with a sheet of paper because I found it a bit sticky (too much moisture, but got used to it to where I dont need to leech it). It dries fairly quickly and if you're impatient like me makes it perfect. You can make your pieces and pretty much paint them or apply varnish once your pieces are dry. Happy crafting 💕💕

I'm finding this clay very easy to work with, and it's been drying really nice with very little to no warping. I work with miniatures, so unfortunately because my pieces are so tiny I'm going to come across warping often, but this product seems to have much less of that issue than other air dry clay I've tried. This clay does dry very quickly tho. Faster than other brands I've used. You do have ample time to work with your piece but much less time than I've had with other brands. Definitely keep that water handy to dip your fingers in! Overall I'm really happy with this clay and will definitely buy and use it again. I'm super impressed with the fact there's so much less warping in the drying process. Also, the pieces I've done so far have taken paint really well. I've been using acrylic paint and haven't had any issues. I've sealed a few pieces too, with good results. This clay would be fun for kids too. It encourages creativity and expressing yourself using a medium that's easy and fun to work with. Obviously what age is appropriate depends on the child, but with my own children I would have been comfortable with them using this starting around 4-5 or so, with supervision and making sure their hands are washed after. Would also be great for older kids and teenagers because of the very good results you get after it dries.

I've used DAS air-dry clay and it cracks horribly, so I thought I'd try Jovi. What a difference! Does it crack? If the clay is too thin, yes, but its an easy fix - water and a little clay. I thin mine to 1/4" and no problems. I made a few little pumpkins for a lid, made a small hole in the bottom and no cracks as it dried. Same for a small lighthouse.. no cracks. I will continue to use this clay for my 'glass jar' projects.

Love working with this clay. It’s way stronger and takes paint better than the crayola clay.

Out of the three clays I have tried so far, this one and DAS are tied in first and I have bought this specific brand 3 times. I am still new to clay crafting but I love how easy this clay feels to mold, and from my experience it responds well to constant moisture and lots of kneading. The stickiness can be hit or miss sometimes, but maybe it’s because my scoring skills or slip usage isn’t the best, but as long as I smooth out the connection point, I’ve had no major issues. The durability has also been great so far! I apply resin to my crafts most of the time once I finish them so they last a little bit longer but even if I am in between working on something and haven’t gotten to resin it yet, whether I’m preparing to paint them or preparing to resin them, the clay holds very well. In terms of drying time I make both flat and 3D clay crafts, and obviously the time it takes to dry depends on how much clay you use(d) / how thick your craft is. My flat crafts typically tend to take maybe a couple hours to maybe a full day or 2 and my 3D crafts typically tend to take 1-3 days. Overall I find that this clay works very well for me and my specific needs at this specific moment of time with my skill.

This clay dries fairly quick & is easy to work with. Like all clays, it does shrink & distort a little as it dries but I think its good quality

This clay is so easy to work with- and it doesn’t drink up the paint color you choose to use requiring multiple coats- I am very excited to use it! Of course, my projects aren’t huge so the packages I purchased have lasted quite a while- it’s very easy to store as well. Just throw it in a sealed plastic bag.

Este pack de Jovi Air Dry ha sido una excelente compra para nuestras actividades de manualidades. La pasta es suave, fácil de moldear y no necesita horno, lo que la hace perfecta para trabajar con niños. Se seca al aire en aproximadamente 24 horas y el acabado es bastante resistente, ideal para pintar después con acrílicos o rotuladores. Viene en 6 bloques de 500g, lo cual es muy práctico para dividir por proyectos o compartir en grupo. Además, no tiene olor, es no tóxica y no contiene gluten, lo que da tranquilidad al usarla con los más pequeños. Un consejo: guarda la pasta en un recipiente hermético una vez abierta para evitar que se seque. También es útil humedecer ligeramente los dedos al modelar para evitar grietas. Muy recomendable para colegios, talleres o simplemente para fomentar la creatividad en casa. ¡Nos ha encantado!

Buena pasta de modelar, para hacer trabajos de arte está genial, secado y resistencia muy buena

Es muy adaptable, se siente como plastilina no tardes a la hora de hacer algún objeto o se secará. Tardo alrededor de dos días en secar bien.
