Hi could you do a deal for 200 plates?

Simply recycle with your paper and cardboard.

Are these compostable only by industrial process? Or do they breakdown in landfill? Or can you put them on a home compost heap? Thank you

No - these do not need to go for industrial composting, in fact we are totally against that as most so called compostable packaging made from PLA or with PLA content either never make it to an industrial composter or contaminate the several recycling streams in operation now. Our Bagasse plates are Home Compostable, start to break down in weeks in your home compost heap and disappear in landfill, if that is where they end up, in a matter of months. Thank you for your business and enjoy our increasing range of packaging options made from bagasse!

Are these suitable for custard pies? Family will be custard pieing hubby on his bday. Can they hold custard and not too rigid?

No reason why not - depending how long the custard pie is in there before throwing! Bagasse is usually good for a couple of hours before going a bit soft. Our advice is test one before hand to be sure - and enjoy!

are these plates washable?

I just use them as biodegradable disposable plates, but they are quite robust, so probably could be wiped clean if not too contaminated (ie: dry food). But they are paper, so cannot be soaked!
