Brilliant idea as a product! Although most people like a whole bottle, but actually the effect of the whole bottle is no longer good after being opened for several months. This kind is perfect for me, especially for a travel!

A tad hard to snap the first few times but these are great! Individually wrapped, enough to cover an average human scrape and a few of these gets my pup well (she plays gymnastics a tad hard...). Easy to open the plastic as it's notched. And they come in a nice hard case, although I'm tossing these everywhere!!

I was not happy with these swabsticks. The cellophane is difficult to tear open. The little bit of iodine seems to be dried out. I am returning the order and will order from McKesson.

It’s so convenient to have iodine contained within the swab you are about to use. All of the swabs are individually wrapped and come together on a long sheet with perforations so that you can tear off as many as you need. They all come in a plastic container, along with an information sheet that includes a diagram explaining how to use them. Using them is super easy - you pinch and snap the end, which releases the iodine into the end of the cotton swab. The stick part of the swab is very slightly flexible. Besides povidone iodine, these also contain citric acid, disodium phosphate, and purified water.I tested one of these swabs. The end that snaps came off completely. Maybe I snapped it too hard? I guess it doesn’t matter. The end that absorbs the iodine needs to be face down, otherwise the iodine will spill out. When it saturated the cotton, it didn’t drip at all. I think there’s enough in it to efficiently cover up to maybe a 2” diameter area or more, depending on how much you need to use. I didn’t notice any cotton strands left behind - no shedding from the swab.I think these swabs work very well if you just need a small amount of iodine. These are easier and much more functional than having a packet or bottle of iodine from which you try to use with an ordinary cotton swab. These take up less space too. They’re great for emergency kits and I’ll definitely be putting some in mine. I’m not sure how well they stand up to extreme temperatures. It does say to store them at room temperature, so I probably won’t be leaving some in my car. I’ll just take them with me if I’m going on a long road trip, camping, or hiking.
