Did the job
Good solid product, the timber in the concrete had completely rotted through so we ended up concreting the repair spur into the old post hole. Fixed the new post into the spur and it's solid. Very pleased with results and it saved having to dig out the old block of concrete.

It works!
This is a good one. The square section designed to grip the post and 2 clamping bolts firmly grip when tightened. The bottom section with the turned in sections drive in easily to the damaged stump and remains secure. Very pleased.

Brilliant piece of kit!
If you have never used one of these before then you MUST WATCH the YouTube clip ‘how to replace a rotten fence post with Wickes’. If you don’t you will get into all sorts of trouble. You WILL ALSO NEED an installation dolly ((shown in the above mentioned clip). The clip is a promotional one for the Wickes’ product but the spur I am reviewing here is identical.A colleague and I installed our first one yesterday and it was a complete success. It is faster and so, so much cheaper (and effective) than digging out a bowl of concrete and putting a new post in an even bigger bowl of concrete.
