Melissa & Doug Pet Vet Play Set

Bought for Xmas presents. When received, children played with it immediately and liked the bandage, cream jar and pill jar. Of course they are all empty but the opening and closing of these items helps to develop fine motor skills. The cat and dog supplied are also pretty good and although other toys can be used I felt that these were sufficient in quality to be supplied in the box. I might have been tempted into wooden versions of this type of toy but the Mellisa and Doug plastic items are very sturdy and more easily washed. All in all a very good toy which was bought at a great price pre-Xmas.

After reading some negative reviews about this item, I was unsure about whether or not to order it. I prefer wooden toys but didn't really like any of the wooden vet sets on the market so I tried this one as it had a lot of items to it. I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Yes it's plastic but it all seems strong and durable. The thermometer and white board are both great. The bandage and plaster are adored by my daughter. The pets are also really good quality. Don't be put off... It's a really sweet toy that has already brought my daughters hours of joy. Definitely recommend this item if your child loves to play vets.

Bought as a gift for the local nursery that looked after my child. They were delighted with the contents but as it was a gift I cannot attest to it's durability. It's also a bit on the pricey side but you do get two decent sized pets to practise your skills on. I think my own child would have loved it. As a lot of its plastic it's easy to clean and comes from a quality brand.

My daughter really likes this (2 years old). She uses it on all her toys (and parents as well). There aren't small parts and it withstands quite a bit of use. The clip on foot bandage doesn't stay shut on our version (the only reason this is not five stars). However, this gets a lot of use and the dog and cat which come with it are cute and used for lots of different things

I bought this for my family's twins and thankfully it comes with a cat and a dog toy meaning they could play with one each! It comes with a pretend plaster cast that slips on over the paws of the toys and lots of dr style toys. Stethoscope, pretend jars, pretend bottles of medicine, plastic pretend surgical instruments all in a little bag to carry it all around in. Loved it. Great toy and good quality. I do wish the stethoscope had actually worked though instead of it being pure plastic.

Great toy. I love Melissa and Doug toys as they’re so unique, different and well made and this is no exception.My Mum has a dog who takes medicine every day and my 18 month old girl loves to “help” out, I desperately wanted to get a vet toy and was so happy when I found this one as I think she’ll love looking after the teddies and caring for them. It’s been put aside for Christmas but I am very impressed with the contents, lots for little imaginations to run wild and another interesting toy from the great Melissa and Doug.

Lovely vets play kit, packed full of items plus including dog and cat plush. Good price recommend

Brought this for my 2 year old daughter, she absolutely loves it! It has been dragged around, pulled and prodded but is still in great condition! Great value for money and very good child friendly but yet realistic appearance
