French Roast Coffee Beans 2kg, Extra Strong Dark Roast | Intensity 5/5, Medium-High Bodied, Robusta & Arabica, Southeast Asia & Central Africa Origin, Made in Italy

I purchased this twin pack of Grano Milano French Roast to add a bit more oomph to a Segafredo beans I already had, which lack the depth of flavour I was hoping for, and they don't disappoint. I use with a digital espresso machine, so it needs a fine grind to get the best from the beans and with a standard electric grinder they are very easy to get to the required consistency in around 15 seconds. The beans themselves look a little inconsistent in colour, but the flavour is very good, so much so I'm just having this rather than mixing the beans. It reminds me of a Lavazza Rossa in terms of crema and richness but with an improved depth of flavour. The end result is a nice smooth espresso, perfect to drink on it's own or to mix for a latte or cappuccino. At the time of review, the twin pack (2Kg) is £31.99 so £16per kilo which is really good value for a French Roast. The beans are good quality and the roast smells divine. Overall, I can't really fault them. Great for blending with a less intensive bean, but also great for that fuller bodied kick.
