Excellent.......
A grease stain that wouldn't come off (gutted! see first pic.) is the reason why I decided to bite the bullet and dye my boots. First off I'd say that for a size 9 pair of boots, to do a good job, you need 2 bottles. Next get yourself a brand new, unused ¹/² inch or 12mm paint brush. Apply the dye with the brush, as for me it was much easier to use than the wool brush which is supplied. Be careful as this dye is very watery and does make a bit of a mess. The left hand boot in the photo has had numerous coats on my first go at it. Not quite finished as the edges need further attention, however I'm very happy so far with how it's gone on. Once both boots fully dried out I went over them again. Let them dry and went over them a third and final time. The middle picture shows the end result. I think the dye has done a great job, but be patient, and I'd advise going over the shoes / boots 3 times. The stain is still evident, but since the boots are so much darker now, it's far less noticeable.

Good results
Good results overall. I used this product to dye brand new light stone colour suede boots in the dark brown colour. The dye is odourless and very easy to apply using the included applicator, and also used a smallish artist paint brush for around the sole to upper area. I applied 2 coats without waiting to dry between coats (I did both shoes, then repeated the application immediately), which gave Good coverage and even colour. I would say, apply quickly and generously in a circular motion to ensure Good results. The dark brown is (as others have noted) a very slightly reddish brown once fully dry after 24 hours, but perfectly acceptable and I am happy with the finished colour. The dye did not mark or stain the rubber sole edges or stiching which is good. I will probably spray with a water repellent protector later, which I do on all my suede shoes anyway. I would recommend and use this suede dye again.

Fiebing Suede & Rought Out Dye 4 oz Color - (Dark Brown) by Fiebing
Very good, works well, darkens the more times you apply.

Good even coverage
Great coverage! After reading the reviews I bought 2 bottles to cover a pair of cream calf length suede boots. 1 bottle easily covered both boots but I did think they needed a second coat. 1.5 bottles covered both for a second coat & I diluted the rest with water to use up & give a 3rd coat. As others have said the dye is very thin so I was glad of the advice to put down cardboard to work on. The dye soaks in well & doesn’t seem to loose colour on to your hands once dry. I’m really pleased with the final result which is a lovey chestnut brown.

Highly Recommended
Great product for restoring suede items. Although you can't see much difference in the photos in reality there is a big difference. The coat was in a poor condition with light and dark patches. After a brush out with a suede brush I used Fiebings. I recommend a bath sponge cut into smaller pieces, use a cheap one with very tight holes. Using a sponge that has small and large holes will apply the dye unevenly. It took two 4oz bottles to dye the full length coat once. I recommend when the dye is dry you use a clothes brush. Giving it a good brush gets rid of shiney parts and makes the suede look plush. The final stage was to use a waterproof and stain protector which I brushed in with the clothes brush.

Does what it said on the tin
It took two coats to get an even colour but so far so good and it has "saved" a pair of shoes that I accidently spilt some oil on.

Amazing! Much better than anticipated and saved 2 pairs of shoes!
I ordered 2 pairs of Ecco shoes for my husband and unfortunately, they were much lighter than expected. The first pair, he wore a couple of times but the second pair were brand new. I had meant to send the second pair back, but time slipped away and soon it was too late - sigh. Ecco's are pretty nice and not inexpensive so I hated for them to just sit on the shelf - which is exactly what would happen! And I can't blame my husband because I didn't really like the light color either. These are not smooth leather. I guess they would be considered suede (?) or nubuck maybe? Anyway, I thought that trying to dye them would result in a splotchy mess! Reading online, articles indicated the need to strip the existing finish....and that's where I lost interest! Finally decided to just go for it! What did I have to lose? They weren't going to be used as they were anyway. Checked a couple of products on Amazon and settled on this one. So glad I did! The pictures show the results! FIRST PICTURE: The shoes that had been worn a few times. I didn't have a brush, but I used the edge of a knife to "scrap" the shoe to try to remove any dirt and raise the nap. Seemed like a good idea! I don't have a "before" picture of the new, unworn shoes but they were the same color/style/brand. SECOND PICTURE: This is the after of the new shoes after I dyed them! Looks pretty awesome, huh? I love the color. I used dark brown dye, but they seem to have a bit of a red tone which I really like - kind of like cordovan. They look even better in person! THIRD PICTURE: This is the pair that had been worn (I remember to get before/after pics!). Again, super pleased with the results! They also look even better in person than the picture.

Easy to use.
Works well. A little hard to maintain even coverage. Probably need another bottle more coats. Used on light brown Uggs.

Great color!
Easy to use! I got bored of an old pair of booties because the color was just a bit too pale for me and I was looking for a darker brown, which was more on trend. Rather than buying a new pair of booties, I decided to try this suede dye. The applicator is like a big cotton ball on a stick but works really well to change the color, except where the suede meets the sole of the shoe. A finer make up brush or something would’ve probably worked better. All in all I’m very satisfied with the color and the fact that I don’t have to buy a new pair of shoes.
