Excellent Practice pad set.
I've been a drummer for over 30 years. This set is not just for beginners, The pad is solid and sturdy. It's quiet even when striking it hard. The carrying case is good quality. It comes with 2 pairs of maple drum sticks. You can beat the practice pad, but you can't beat the price. Great value.

Good for practice
Everything is good with it. My son loves it; he plays all day. Perfect size, good for storage, good sound. Worth the price and the quality.

Must have if starting drum lessons
This is a parent review sprinkled with some practical advice and eye-opening stats about the probability of long-term interest in drumming. First, the bottom line product review: this is a quality practice pad and is perfect for anyone who has started taking drum lessons, PLUS it comes with some bonus gear that is worth paying a little bit more for. My teenage son didn't care for the lightweight drumsticks at all, but he really likes everything else and enjoys practicing with this kit. He especially likes having an adjustable stand. I'm satisfied with the purchase and do recommend. This next part is more of a bonus for parents. As with any new hobby a child tries, sometimes it just isn't a great fit. Our music instructor said that all of the early concepts can be practiced outside of weekly lessons without this kind of practice gear. Having heard this, I delayed purchasing this practice set for my son. Nice to have does not equal must have. Ready for some eye-opening general stats about the probabilty that your new drummer will continue in their new interest? Gemini reports that available music industry data and multiple music teacher associations paint a very consistent picture of the "dropout rate"...statistically, only about 10% to 15% of people who start the drums will stick with it for more than two years. If they make it past the 24-month mark, their chances of drumming for life increase exponentially. I found this to be information worth sharing.

Helpful, quiet pad with adjustable stand - very satisfied!
Very pleased with this purchase. Note: The heading says it comes with 2 pairs of sticks. Mine came with one pair - but I don't mind that - I have plenty of sticks. I wanted a quiet pad to practice rudiments. This one is excellent. Good bounce and I love the adjustability of the height as well as the angle of the pad. It comes with a carrying case that feels a little cheap, but again - I didn't buy it for the carrying case. I'm sure it works fine but I won't likely use the case more than once a year. The pad is quiet and will take a good beating. The size is slightly smaller than a traditional snare, but that's good practice for hitting in the middle. One assembly instruction that wasn't clear to me based on the packaging. The wingnut stays on the screw when you put the pad on. At first I took it off and the pad kept spinning until I saw the screw was putting pressure on the rubber pad. Luckily I figured it out before it went through. Overall, I'm really pleased with this.

Only 1 pair of sticks. Otherwise ok
Does not come with 2 pairs of sticks, as others have reviewed. The description needs to be changed. Otherwise the pad is pretty good. I've been drumming on and off for 60 years and wanted a drum pad for quietly practicing rudiments. Quality seems pretty good so far.

Good starter set
Assembles in minutes. The pad itself has enough bounce to get a feel for the basic snare rudiments. Made for a nice gift to my 8yo grandson, since it has sticks and all. It’s compact enough so that he keeps it set up in his room and practices most days. With the door closed you can barely hear it. I started out on pie tins and hat boxes; this is a darn sight better than that.

Great item for a great price.
Solid pad and stand. Stick bag and case are nice bonuses. Sticks it comes with aren’t for me but wasn’t expecting they would be. Overall for the price this is great.
