Works... but could be better.
The VDP in itself is quite functional, but I specifically got this version because I wanted something that was compatible with PoE and man, the PoE functionality is horrible on this one. The WiFi works fine I guess? But when it has a habit of getting disconnected every now and then and it will take down your whole network if you have a complex switch setup with multiple routers installed throughout the house. The firmware needs a lot of work. Pretty easy to install if you are looking for something that is more or less DIY. The quality of the outdoor camera is also good enough. I keep monitoring via my phone and it works perfectly except for the disconnection issue every now and then. Bonus point is that it has got an NO/NC compatible unlocking mechanism for door locks. However, a caveat is, the outdoor camera has a RFID tag sensor and if you want to use that, you have to connect your NO/NC unlocking device with the camera module, which is a security risk because the camera module can be opened using the commonly used allen key and a phillips crosshead screwdriver. If it gives you any solace, the outdoor unit has got a tamper alarm too. Hope this helps.

Don’t Buy, pathetic service from Panasonic
Despite such expensive product, Panasonic doesn’t have any support after sales. After delivery I struggled to register for installation, they asked to to go from one number to another as they don’t who will do installation. After registering call twice. Their technician was not aware of installation and feature of this product ( installation was chargeable) So please don’t buy this product now I am really stuck after buying such expensive product as I can’t even rerun it
