Are the sizes really this big?

I am 5' 8" and 145 lbs and bought a medium size. I like the fit and it is lightweight enough to easier carry in my daypack. The material is stretchy so I wouldn't recommend carrying a phone in the pockets.

Would this be suitable for hot weather on the Las Vegas strip in cooler months like October?

Does the fabric block the wind at all?

I'm 6', 240# and 2XL comfortably. Don't like snug/tight clothes and contemplating going one size up, any recommendations?

From my 145 lb, 5’8” perspective, the medium is a good fit and doesn’t feel tight when moving around. A side note, I buy size large in t-shirts.
