Purchased as looking to fit 14 oak veneered doors with no paint to cover any little mistakes.6 done and handles and latch perfectly aligned each time. Did not use the big core drill as handles did not require such a large hole but placed this back to front in jig and marked the centre hole for smaller drill. Little router not particularly useful but overall the kit is well worth having.

So i bought this to use on some cheap hollow doors moulded hardboard with a chipboard inner ...Hollow NOT SOLID Oak !!The first door worked well until it came to using the router type bit .. That doesnt work at all, its just a small drill bit and wanders out of the supplied plastic guide..Anyway easy to work around.The second door i did, i cut the larger hole on each side of the door which accomodates the roun door handles i bought elsewhere. I then went to the 3rd to do the same and the pilot drill bit of the hole cutter saw snapped in two.. To complicate matters the hole saw had also seized onto the arbour / pilot drill bit holder. At that point i gave up and sent it back to Amazon..Also the jig itself is made of plastic which is quite flimsy and flexes too muchWas expecting much better from IRWIN

Went to use for the first time yesterday and didn’t line up for the 64mm mortice latch I was fitting so had to measure but used hole cutters.

does the job accurately! just make sure you drill perpendicular

Not worth the money and the wait. I ended up doing the job using common sense and a tape measurer after fiddling with it.

unless you handy to adapt, this is useless for uk door latches out of the box, very much american hinges, latches and handle sizes
