Nice rise with whole grain doughs.
Great for whole-grain bread baking. It induces a very nice rise to the dough, especially with rye and whole wheat breads.

Expiration date
I have not used this yet but was dismayed to see the product was packaged May 2025 and expires May 2026 . It is Dec 6 6 months to use it. Not a good value when only using a couple tablespoons at a time.

You may want to skip this stuff.
Don't get this brand of vital wheat gluten unless you like spilling powder-flour type stuff onto your floor and counter, wasting the product and making a mess. Just click on something else if you need vital wheat gluten. The problem exists in the packaging. They use a plastic bag a little smaller than the bag containing the powder, so to make it fit, they fold in the top so the entire package is pushing up against the outer plastic... now try to open it without cutting or breaking the inside bag, resulting in a *poof* and leaving a good amount of the product all over the place. Oh, and they don't take returns, exchanges, nor do they give refunds. They could send you a sack of cat poop and you could do nothing about it. Like I said, just get some other brand and save yourself some pain until this company starts listening and changing their packaging to be a little more than the cheapest they can find.

Very helpful in making breads
I was struggling to bake bread and this has definitely made easier to bake bread. The product is quite versatile for making different kinds of breads. It improves the texture and taste of the bread so much . The quality is also good. Its a little expensive but it does wonders . Definitely going to restock thisโฆ

It seems the gluten does its job
Well, we aren't baking experts so can't comment whether it's the best gluten available on Amazon. We bought this to use as an improver for whole wheat bread and it seems the gluten powder is doing its job. Without adding this, our whole wheat bread didn't rise well and the finished product was kinda hard. But, since we've been using this, the loaf rises well and the bread is way softer than before. We don't have any previous experience with gluten powder, so can't say whether there is any quality issues with the product as pointed out in some reviews.

Make your own T55 Bread Flour
By adding this gluten to ordinary Maida you will have a stronger flour suitable for making all sorts of European bread such as baguettes, boules, dinner rolls, sliced loaf, brioche, sourdough, etc. It makes a huge difference to the quality of bread.

Happy with the product.
I bought this last month to make whole wheat breads at home. I have tried making whole wheat bread earlier without wheat gluten a couple of times. Both the attempts were a disaster. The bread didn't rise, it was very dense. Made whole wheat bread yest again with this wheat gluten.. the bread rose well.. it has come out quite soft. Very happy with the result. I recommend this product for people who want to bake with flours with less gluten. Results are very good. It makes a lot of difference when you add this to your flour.
