I bought the Gorilla GSS-200 speaker tripod stand for my PA speaker, which weighs just under 18kg and it handles it with no issues at all. Straight away, it feels sturdy and well built, and it gives me confidence when the speaker is mounted on it. The 35mm fitting works perfectly with my setup, and everything slots together securely without any wobble. What I really like is the flexibility in the design. The tripod legs can be set wide or more compact depending on the space I'm working in, which is really useful when venues vary. If I need a wider base for extra stability, I can set it up that way, and then still adjust the height using the two-section pole to get the speaker exactly where I need it. All the locking mechanisms feel strong and hold firmly in place without slipping. Overall, it feels like a reliable and professional bit of kit. Once everything is tightened, it stays solid throughout use and easily supports the weight of my speaker. For gigging or regular transport setups, it does exactly what I need and feels like it will last well over time.

This is great value for money. A good stand stand for the price not heavy and easy to use. Not stable enough for large speakers over 20kg but effective for most speakers.

I recently had a problem with a floor standing speaker on a stage, where the stage was so resonant you could set up feedback simply from the vibrations from the speaker travelling through the floor and up the microphone stands. This stand allowed me to reposition the speaker just off the stage on solid ground but at the height we needed as an emergency fix. Its very simple to use, has an excellent range of heights and is amply sturdy when erected. My only reservation is that the spreader struts feel slightly vulnerable when speading the legs, the sliding collar that joins them is not as freely running as I would like. Just a minor niggle though.
