Laughing to the bank
I went to a professional sound company to install Bluetooth into my 2005 911 turbo convertible. This company wanted to install a "bridge" and many other components to achieve bluetooth functionality. However, after the work and fees, they stated there was a small risk that I would not like the results due to potential response times ant etc. The costs to doing this procedure was nearly 1,500. I did not want to throw away money if it was not going to work so searched for alternatives. I found this. I had it professionally installed two days ago. All I can say is AMAZING. The music / sound that comes out of my speakers now from streaming is just nuts. Also, I have had multiple calls going 55 with the top down and the other end of call could not tell. Their voices came over my speakers so nice. My advice to anyone...keep your OEM equipment and buy this!!!

Great set up for original Porsche stereo 997.1
This is perfect for those of us who wanted to maintain our Porsches original look. This set up allows you to keep the original stereo from Porsche. My car did not come with a phone from factory but the set up is there already and this blue tooth box makes it all work including the steering wheel controls. My car is a Porsche 911 Carrera s 2006 with a Bose stereo. I was able to keep my original stereo and the sound is amazing. I am proficient at installing aftermarket radios in my cars and boats and I'm telling you this is the best set up for the original stereo. Instructions on you tube are amazing. Many videos to choose from. I would highly recommend the microphone from enfig.com. They have a customized microphone which adapts to the original location in the steering wheel flawlessly.

Much needed for my 2008 Porsche 911
It works as described The install to about an hour to install this unit I removed the RF modulator that hisses and had terrible sound quality.About another hour to remove the CD changer and install the supplied bypass.Dip switched 1 and 2 are on to match the in dash CD level.Pairs easily shows up as "CarKIT" Phone functions works with PCM. No longer says no phone installed and can dial/ make calls from the PCM. I removed the 6 disc CD changer and regained some space in the Frunk.

Works perfectly on my 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera S
Great product, except for two things:- the signal strength bars are fake, and will always show 4/5 bars no matter the actual signal strength- the song titles with Bluetooth connections are never displayedAs a software engineer, my recommendation to the manufacturer is to do the extra work and source the data they need to make this provide real information rather than fake data. Other manufacturers are doing it just fine. Otherwise, great product!

Works for me
Installation can be a little tricky but it works just fine. My 2006 Carerra S now has BT music and phone and it works quite well. Occasionally my iPhone XS Max fails to connect but a quick off/on of BT on the phone resolves that.My 2006 Carrera S has the Bose system with Navigation. No CD changer or phone module. No issues with additional dealer programming needed. For additional install specifics on 2005-2010 Porsche 997 cars search Rennlist.com.

Great inexpensive bluetooth solution for PCM 2.1
Worked great in a Porsche Cayenne 2006 with remote CD player. Phone calls and streaming music work perfectly. I wish the kit included a fiber loop for the CD player, the fiber connector they give is very hard to get connected behind the cd player with short cables and making the bends to loop them.
