Fire extinguisher mount works as it should

I have a Kidde FA110G/FC110 I keep in my car. The plastic strap bracket it came with broke. This is much better. The silver-colored retention band is attached to the black main bracket with a brass-colored rivet; this allows the band to be rotated for shipping. There are six mounting holes in the main bracket. I used four #10 wood screws, 1/4 length, to mount into the plastic trim of my car. Bracket package is labeled as "Durable Steel", Kidde model MB15R, Kidde P/N 420118, UPC 047871201181, and "Meets DOT and USCG Approvals", so it's the real thing. My extinguisher has 2.5 lbs agent, 3.25 inch cylinder diameter, 1.3 inch cylinder throat diameter, and 14.25 inch total height (all approximate), if that helps anyone size things.

I couldn't find any listing for the Kidde fire extinguisher model "Elite 10 Home". I took a chance and ordered this bracket. Fits perfect and will replace the cheap plastic bracket supplied witht he extinguisher.

Self tapped inside bed, great product

The plastic one that came with the fire extinguisher broke after hitting a big wave. This bracket is all metal and has more screw holes. Unfortunately the screw holes are not in the exact same place, so you do have to make new holes.

Easy to install and so far works well on my boat

Fits my small extinguisher well. I used it to mount onto the wall. Better that the plastic hanger that came with it.

I bought this for my kidde model #21006287 that I bought for my jeep. The extinguisher came with a plastic mound which lasted about a month. This could be due to where it was mounted, so I wasn't mad. This one seems to be far superior to the one that was included with the extinguisher. In case anyone was wondering I have mine mounted across the front supports of the driver seat. Reason being a. mounting at head level is dangerous so I didn't want to mount on roll cage. b. I wanted to be able to reach it easily just in case I would be trapped in the vehicle when I need it.
