Forces resolution to 640x480
On Windows 11 this device only passes video at 640x480 resolution . All other options are locked out . Useless for my application , returning .

Power amount in big letters
Donโt know how much power it needs to work.. maybe best you include either a power supply or say how much power you need. I plugged it into a computer usb and not enough power.. I think it does say on the box the supply but itโs super small..

Honestly didn't solve my issue with using 2 monitors.

it works, once you figure it out.
When I got this, I assumed I could just connect my VGA monitor to the adapter and the output HDMI cable to my PC. But this doesn't work. Turns out, you also must power the adapter by connecting it to a USB port on the PC using a provided USB cable. In hindsight maybe this was obvious, but I had to do some googling to figure it out. (No instructions are included in the box). (I figured the usb port was just an extra port for charging your phone). The adapter also has a 3.5 mm phone jack along with an included male-male cable. Not sure what that's for; maybe I need to plug it in somewhere too. Now that it's working, I kind of like this adapter. It seems well built. It has screw holes so I can secure my VGA plug to the adapter (my previous adapter doesn't have holes so the plug kept wiggling out). This is an edited review. When I originally couldn't get it to work I gave it 2 stars. Now that it's working I'm giving it 4 stars. I'm taking a star off because the lack of instructions was very annoying. Update: This adapter has solved a problem I had with my previous adapter, which is that when my system went to sleep, I could not get the VGA monitor to wake up. Now, using this adapter it wakes up perfectly.
